This is true justice to gazal and tribute to Mehdi Sahab. I think At some places it is difficult for one to identify weather Mehdi Sahab is singing or Parvez Sahab.. Heartly thanks to Saurav ji for this priceless gem.
Pervaiz Mehdi was really a great Ghazal and folk singer and a nice human Being .. but he could not so famous as he deserved.. I can not understand this hidden secret of nature.. May Allah keep his soul in rest.. (Fareed Lahori)
superb ghazal by mir taqi mir and beautiful rendition by pervaz mehdi. i like to dedicate this to my beloved wife who passed away about a year and a hlf ago, leaving me devastated. while i listen to the ghazal i feel as if she is in the audience and yet far away to be touched.
For a while I stopped and recalled where I listen this ghazal and couldn't remember but came to know from Aftab Iqbal's program that this was sung for PAKEEZA movie and I remembered that only some part of this was played at background in that movie . Thanks a lot for uploading.
Ye mehdi sahib ki gaayi ghazal hai, lekin sivay composition k, parvez sahib ne kahin unki copy karne ki koshish nhi ki.isko apna bana k Gaya .. Bahut khoobsurat. .
Marvellous, aalap main toh yahi laga Ki Kha saab Ki awaz hai.. Bahut hi undaa artist and absolutely in surr, Pervez ji. Believe it's Ustad Tari Kha saab on Tabla. Glad to hear a new antra as well.
That photo is a treasure, Rajinder Kumar in Lahore 1984, with Actor M.Ali, inayat Hussain bhati and Parvez mehdi with others, They all visited to (Sankhatra) village in district Narowal now, then was Sialkot district, this is the ancestral village of Jubillee kumar Sahib. Simply fantastic.Not only sung with utmost devotion but also done full justice.I closed my eyes to find any shortcomings but surprisingly failed and simply gone into trance.The sarangi accompaniment is so soothing and of course the tabla play is just as one would like.Late Parvez Mehdi Sahib was unique.I had opportunity to listen to him 3 times in private mehfils .God bless his holy Saul.would love to listen to him more please Dr Arjun Hirani Leicester UK

Bilkul i also think so as per his talent he was not so famous, talat aziz i don't listen to, i knew he's more famous
Mehdi Hassan ji is unreachable. Once u heard his voice, non match that taste. Impossible. However Parvezji tried his best.

I cant see Inayat Hussain Bhatti in it.. BUT i think it was in India when Ali Bhai was there for the shoot of Film Clerk 1989.

The only one who could ever come close to Mehdi was Jagjit Singh. This was probably the best rendition after the late legends and it breaks my heart 💔
No jagjit sigh had unique voice presentation and he was an absolutely gem of an arranger.
