  • If you're on your way to Mexico City, you're probably wondering where to stay. Well, we have some recommendations for you!
    For our visit, we stayed in the beautiful and lush neighbourhood of Condesa, but in this video we recommend two other areas you can also use as your base for exploring the amazing #mexicocity
    1. Centro Historico: busy, but close to some great sights
    2. Coyoacan: quieter, colourful, bohemian vibe
    3. Condesa: hip and trendy with great restaurants and bars

    Yen and I love the hustle and bustle so centro Historico looks perfect. The city looks so lively and we love that. But Condesa looks like such a nice chill vibe and the food especially is definitely attracting us. Great vid!

      Hi Eduardo! Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment about the videos. We only had the chance to visit Pujol restaurant in Polanco. We really enjoyed the short time we were there but because we didn’t get a chance to explore the area more we didn’t feel comfortable recommending it in this video. We totally want to go back to Mexico City though. Do you have any recommendations to check out in Polanco?

    you did not mention how close was condesa from centro historico . You know it is the main tourist attraction and lots of people would wanna visit it. How far are you from it? Do you have to take subway to get there?
    Can you also mention the some hotels that are on the safest streets in Centro Historico?

    • @HeGoesSheGoes
      @HeGoesSheGoes  2 роки тому +1

      Hi there! Centro Historico is an absolutely amazing tourist attraction. The distance from Condesa to Centro is quite far. We did walk it on one occasion but it took quite a bit of time and was a tiring walk. On other visits to that part of town we took an Uber which is very reasonably priced - we have a video on Uber in Mexico City as well - and the service was great. Would highly recommend doing that. We haven’t taken the subway ourselves but would give it a try next time. As for hotels, we aren’t familiar with hotels in the Centro Historico area or which streets would be best so unfortunately we don’t have any suggestions for you. Thank you for watching!! 😃

      Hi George! Thanks so much for watching and checking us out. We’re so glad you enjoyed the video! :) If you can find an Airbnb on Avenida Amsterdam in Condesa you would be in great shape! We found lots of great places for drinks and food in that area. It is great for walking and would put you really close to Parque México which is beautiful. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to stay in Coyoacan. Next time! Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. :)

    Not to mention Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs would roam av. Amsterdam looking for drugs and sex back in the 1940s and would eventually become the inspiration to part of their books and the whole hipster movement which gave birth to the beatniks and hippies and all American counterculture.

      That's great info! We knew the authors had been in Mexico City but didn't realize the connection to av. Amsterdam. Thanks for sharing, and for watching!
