I am from Europe, and here they say it : if it is over datum, open, smell, look at it, taste it and only throw away if it is clearly gone bad. We can even buy bulk food that are expired or about to expired for a fraction of a price, and mostly they are still good, this is how we are trying to fightfood waste.
Thanks for sharing! I also have heard that canned food can be used well after it’s best before date as long as the can is looking good still. I found a few items that I wasn’t comfortable eating but it was much less than I thought I was going to find. 😅

I can definiety attest to that. Last week I used a canned good that had a date of like March 2021
