I own the G5 and the G7 still rocks. My wife loves using it still, plus I let my friend borrow it for his Alaska trip. It's the easiest compact camera to use.
Used a G7 as video director for a church years ago, finally got one a couple of months ago. Love everything about it, especially being able to use my original 4/3 lenses.

I have a similar experience with the Olympus E-PL6 that I sold many years ago, I miss it so much, but instead of rebuying it, I got a GX850 instead. Nice video!

I own two G7's and only use them for making independent films. With proper composition and color correcting you can get cinematic visuals at a budget.
I have a G9 and use this one as a B-cam/webcam. I love how lightweight it is and the simplified menu system is awesome. I think the G9 feels better in the hand (it's larger than the g7)but it's heavier than the G7. Such a great camera to pick up and shoot with as opposed to the G9 which is more complex and professionally focused. Just a fun rig.
I agree that the G7 is still a beast in 2024 when it comes to image quality! I make my videos on the GH5 still and it also is very worth it.

I have a lumix gx8 for pleasure and g90 for work, and i love both, with the lumix 20mm and 42,5mm its crazy nice
So much seems to depend on finding a camera at the right price. In the UK on MPB at the moment, the G7 is priced close to the G80 (condition like for like), so it makes more sense to me to go for the G80. The G6, however, is almost half the price! It 'only' does 1080p video, rather than 4k, but I'd argue that 4k isn't really essential for vlogging.... Never an easy answer.
Are we going to see some vlogging from that Pen-F ?
The GX8, GX85, GX9 are cropping additionally in video mode, in 4K even more than in FHD. The widest and lightweightest lens for vlogging is the 9 mm (except the fisheye). Does the G7 crop in video mode in the same way? Maybe it is caused by the stabilized sensor, but I don't know. What about an electronic stabilizer in the G7? Don't you miss a stab when you are vlogging with this cam? I've found this cam on MPB for 299 € which is expensive for such an old camera. So I will still use my unbeatable travel combo GX8 and GX9. As I am a completely imperfect photographer (horizon askew, pictures too light or too dark) I have to post-process all the pictures, so I sometimes lose a few pixels. So 20 MP helps a little compared to 16 MP. For vlogging, I use a GX85 with a mirror attachment and the 9mm f1.7 in FHD.
G100 small and has good af however no ibis either

The g7 will work natively with the ronin s. I love it.
I'm buying one this Friday to go with my G9. It's going to be street all around shooter. Can't wait!!
