I tried a weighted one, and I literally saw a flash of light and thought that was it...I was back ten years ago, and lost all the healing in my lower spine. I already have a fusion in my cervical spine...so yeah, scary stuff.
All I did was a situp with 15lbs. I thought since I can do 30lbs tricep pullovers, on each arm, its a piece of cake with the 15....yeah...that didnt go well lol. Maybe just start with a lighter load, though the mind muscle connection is messed up from the injury

I am actually passing trought something similar. My wife doesn't want to diet or exercise, but I got 10Kg over my normal weight. But not going to leave her for it 😅. So I started to diet and exercise "hidden". Fasting on the mornings and doing cardio and functionals during my breaks. Its been working and I already lost 6 Kg and went down from 25% BF to 18%
She knows shs needs it too but says she's getting the courage to start.
My goal is to get down to 80 Kg and 12%.
Then, start a work to built up muscle back up to 85Kg and keep it.

I've been stressing out about my "4 pack" abs. After loosing 50 pounds since 2015, I finally decided that loose skin was keeping me from ever seeing my abs since my waist had balloned to 48" and in 2021 I had a tummy tuck and now two years later have continued to stay lean and my waist is at 30" (first thing in the morning). I can only achieve a 4 pack with weighted crunches and isometric cable holds for obliquies. They are very chiseled but I think my genetics are just suited for a 4 pack since by now all the swelling from surgery should have subsided. If I thought I had 20 pounds to loose, I'd go for it to get 6 pack abs but 30" is probably as lean as I need to be in the waist period.
What's funny is when I dieted down to 163 pounds 3 years before the surgery, I could see a 6 pack right after training abs but the loose skin would quickly cover that up once the ab training pump had disappeared. My waist was no where near 30" so I'm still a little confused as to why I only have a 4 pack now. My wife say I look really good and to stop worrying about it!

I didn't take a 10-pack to be a case of training or determination, but of genetic. Some people have extra tendons running across the abs, others don't. If you don't have those tendons, you will never get a 10-pack no matter how you train. Perhaps I misunderstood?

Step 1: Lower ur BF% to around 15% or lower for guys. Eat in a caloric deficit, crank your protein up (0.8-1g/lb)
Step 2: Train ur core like any other muscle. Progressive overload overtime (Some ideas: Hanging leg/knee raises, cable crunches)
Summed up all anyone needs to know. If you don't do Step 1, don't worry about Step 2. Keep it simple.

    • @grogdizzy5814

The type of calories you consume make a huge difference. If you're eating a bunch of carbs and/or sugar then you're going to feel hungry, irritable, and tired when trying to eat less. Replacing carbs with fat and protein is the best way to make your body use up its fat stores. Also fasting for at least 16 hours will trigger fat burning and increase insulin sensitivity.

I'm sure this comment will get lost in the sea of other comments but here goes.
I'm 16, I workout regularly and have noticed from a while ago that my abs aren't like everyone else's. I've always had them but I never counted, I just knew they existed and that mattered. Once I started my gym journey 4-6 months ago I realized I have a 4 pack. No matter how hard I tried to feel out where my missing two packs could POSSIBLY be I was met with no luck. Although I cant change the way I was born I am questioning when in the video you mentioned that EVERYONE has a 6 pack or more, and that people with '4 packs' have a developed chest. Now I don't know how to understand that, or take that I have been looking at my abdominals and looking just below the chest, only seeing my 4 pack...
Again i get i probably wont get an answer from you but im hoping someone reading the comments might.
