Does the Godox Ring flash ML-150 do you have to get a special one for Sony because of the hotshoe or does one model fit all camera's great video thanks very much
Thank you for the video. Loved the part on stacking as I use another software, but do have Photoshop cc. On the image stabilization : I would suggest to put that on off. Putting it on 'on' while shooting on a tripod, does give extra vibrations as the lenses stabilization is vibrating to mitigate vibrations. Regards, Didier
This flash has "pré light"? (i dont know how this call). I mean a light that helps on iluminate the object and focus, before takes the photo and dispare the flash.
Thanks for this video that I bought the ring flash that you are using here! It's very use to use and does provide a very even lighting to the subject. My camera is also Sony ILCE7RM2!
Liked and subscribed, really good video. This is almost the exact set-up I would want but I'm wondering how to deal with reflective subjects like the bark you showed in post?
Joseph Cullen the reflection i would reduce the highlights in post. After i do the stack i eill then start editing it in camera raw. The image that is shown is straight from camera

Didier Debie thank you. A habit of leaving it on as i do my macro hand held. But even with stabilization on i don't notice a difference
Dear ,
Is it true that no ring size fits my 24-70 lens.
Can this be reordered for my purchase of a GodoxML-15II ring flash.
I am curious about how are you choosing the power of flash? It does not have TTL.
Is this ring flash compatible with Sony a 6600? Or you use an adapter on the hot shoe
Yes
How do you find the Godox ring flash ? I have just purchased one of these , it was certainly cheap enough .
It is great gives an even balance in light when shooting macro especially really close up to your subject
Thank you! great video. Cant wait to watch the rest of your stuff!
lauren stern your welcome and thank you 😊
that focus stacking+peaking is genius
How long does the batteries last? How many flashes? Does it drain out in like 10-15 flashes?
Not sure exactly how long. But won't drain out in 15 flashes. I have taken way more with it

Joseph Cullen thank you 😊. Are you referring to the reflection on the camera or the ones i had in photoshop?

Is this flash compatible with the a6000 ? Thank you
Yeah i used it on a6000 and a7 cameras
That square focus thing in the middle, how do you use that?
the small focus box? I have it set on flexible spot and i can move the box around
does it work with Nikon 105 micro lens?
Yeah it will
Has anyone used this for portraits? I know it probably works well for close up portraits, but is it bright enough for half and full body?
Yes I have. If you go to my instagram @hr_images and scroll down to some earlier portraits you will see them
HR Images ok, thank you!
can this be used with polorazing filter inside ?
Yeah you can
@@HRImages thanks for the quick reply
Hi there, do you need an adaptor for the Godox ML-150 to your a7Rii?
Bert Fielding the macro ring flash comes with ring adapters to attach to the lens. It has 6 size rong adapters. Sizes are 49-72mm filters size
I mean for the hot shoe, thanks!
Bert Fielding ah no there is no adapter needed. Mounts straight on the hotshoe
What version do you use? There are different? (ebay says Nikon, Canon and orthers)
Felix Faulpelz it is the one version that will fit on all brands
i bought a godox ml-150 ring flash for my camera and in less than 5 months i got the LED bulb dead :(
Will the ring flash fit the a7riii?
Yes it will
Do I not need a different hot shoe?
@@karlwood5464 no you don't will mount on straight.
Nice video 😍
Thank you
nothing about how to use the flash !,
Steady shot should be turned off, when using a tripod. According to the Sony manual.
Alan Willis i have mine on didn't find a difference to be honest. A lot of my macros are hand held. But tripod was used for tthe demonstration as well
where is the focus
What's the battery life of the flash?
