In the name of jesus I ask you jesus to command the mornings in the name of jesus let joy peace laughter come inside my soul and everybody souls in the name of jesus thanks
Hallelujah, Christ is risen and sits at the Father's right hand interceding for me and one day shall return and every eye shall see and every tongue shall confess that he is Lord for he is given the name that is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow!
November 13, 2017 What a morning indeed! Because our LORD GOD, Jesus Christ, rose from the dead on that Life giving morning, we(The Body of Christ) are alive IN HIM Forever and Ever throughout all Eternity! HALLELUJAH! ALL PRAISES AND THANKS AND GLORY TO OUR GREAT LORD GOD AND SAVIOR AND RISEN KING, JESUS CHRIST, NOW AND FOREVER! WHAT A MORNING!
Stuart Townend sings well about his Saviour, but you need to listen to his version of Vagabonds on Brighton Railway Station - that is awesome. I heard him in Edinburgh along with his son 4/5 years ago at a local school - they were awesome. Praise be given to the Lord giving them such wonderful voices and faith ih Him.
I love this song. It is amazing. For some reason, it sounds to me like a theme song for a superhero! Don't know if they intended to do that. God Bless them
One of my all-time favourite Christian songs, whether old or new. Not only is the melody really catchy and memorable, the lyrics are gospel-focused, biblical and Christ-honouring. Every modern Christian song needs to be more like this.
sees mary weeping; and the one word he says encompasses complete and utter devotion. pure and utter understanding of christ...all she says is 'Mary' simply surrounding our entire faith. amen amen
Thinking about this hymn during the night I had an image of Jesus, for whom God had prepared a body (Hebrews 10), standing before the Father and saying, 'here I am, it is finished'!
Well I have to say I listen to this truly uplifting song everyday,it doesn't have to be Easter time to have sunshine and feel warmth in our heart and this song really makes me feel great right from the start,it helps me to distance myself from all the bad things and negativity in our World today you just can't beat great music to give us all some get up and go and help us on our way ,it is sad that in today's world folks are way too preoccupied with Stupid FAKEBOOK and other forms of bs and gossip in Social media personally I would much rather listen to some amazing music memoribilia.
Great song this, and especially relevant as it's nearly Easter, but we can still listen to it whenever, as it can encourage people throughout the year.
I really like the way that Stuart sings, without affectation and without exhibitionism. He sings with simplicity and humility, despite knowing the vocal technique, he does not need it to sing well and express the message.
My parish church(Anglican,Church Of Ireland) sung this this morning,(Easter Sunday,2022).Our choir, which I am a member of, would probably have sung this as an anthem but it wasn't possible due to us still wearing masks due to Covid-19. I pray that God long spares Stuart to write and sing alot more great Christian songs like this.
See, what a morning, gloriously bright With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light As the angels announce, "Christ is risen!" See God's salvation plan Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice Fulfilled in Christ, the Man For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead! See Mary weeping, "Where is He laid?" As in sorrow, she turns from the empty tomb Hears a voice speaking, calling her name It's the Master, the Lord raised to life again! This voice that spans the years Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us Will sound 'til He appears For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead! One with the Father, Ancient of Days Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty Honor and blessing, glory and praise To the King crowned with pow'r and authority! And we are raised with Him Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered And we shall reign with Him For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead! And we are raised with Him Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered And we shall reign with Him For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!
Music can be found in Songs of Fellowship Book 4 and several Spring Harvest books. It is absolutely a congregational song. I heard yesterday that many schools are also singing it - great!
The 2nd verse is about the passage in John's gospel chapter 20: But Mary was standing outside the tomb, weeping; so as she wept, she stooped to look into the tomb; and she *saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying. And they *said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She *said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him.” When she had said this, she turned around and *saw Jesus standing there, and yet she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus *said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Thinking that He was the gardener, she *said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you put Him, and I will take Him away.” Jesus *said to her, “Mary!” She turned and *said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher).
I have too. It was jolly good. The whole day, too; quite stupendous. Al Stewart's sermon on Hell especially. In fact, nothing was bad at the London Men's Convention, I thought. Recommended.
Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ was our perfect example back to God. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost and we must be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. He was holy and walked in righteousness and we must be holy and walk in righteousness. He died and rose again, and we must die to the things of this world and rise to walk in the newness of life. He prayed to the father showing us how to pray to the father. If you believe in this message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you for doing so!
About ten years ago I read an article by an ex-Muslim who believed in Jesus, who wrote that he once fainted and saw "Miriam in the garden searching for the body of my Lord". I thought the story was profound. But around that time I was doing research into how the Bible was written, and discovered that John was probably written much later than Matthew, Mark and Luke. And that as a result, some historians argue that the more poetic stories which appear not in Matthew, Mark or Luke, but only John, are likely fictional. Mary in the garden was one such story. This saddened me, so I asked God "if the story in the article is true, you can show me". I happened to ask this at 1:00. You can imagine my amazement when the next verse played.
I love it that you included the lyrics, but most lines lag behind the music. 🎶3 words too late. This song is so inspirational though. I am learning the words. I will get there. My favorite line is “Death is dead” as God fights the devil’s cancer for me.
+Peter Mooy If you're a member of a church, there is a good possibility that they will have a CCLI "Song Select" membership - you could ask the Worship Leader to download a copy for you in your preferred key.
No wonder the Satanist needs his rage liberating! His master was defeated that first Easter by the King crowned with pow'r and authority! And we are raised with Him, Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered; And we shall reign with Him, For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
Not gonna lie, that's actually a relief to me. It's good to know that the blame for an embarrassingly kitschy, outlandishly white-toned Jesus image can be laid squarely at the feet of a heretic. Zero sarcasm intended here.
Wonderful words, great tune! The only thing which spoils it for me is the incessant Bang! Bang! Bang! on the drums, with no let-up even for the verse about Mary weeping. I've listened to other versions, and they're all as bad. PLEASE don't overdo the percussion. Thank you.
Jesus was never buried in the ground..as.you elsewhere assert Mr Capped Heresy. You give the idea that everyone in Jerusaĺem knew about the Risen Christ Paul knew nothing of what took place Why are there two places where its supposed to.have happened
Jesus was not buried in the ground and all.Jerusalem.did not know when He was resurrected People like Tim Hughes make this day when his sins were washed away They clearly were not

My parish's Youth Choir loves this song! We sing it every change we get! Once we even begged our pianoist to play it for us so we could sing it!
our choir sang this last year at Easter.. and it was spectacular.
I love this song. The words are so powerful.
I really like the way that Stuart sings, without affectation and without exhibitionism.

I have loved this song since I first heard it years ago. But what on earth is that translation of Romans at the end?
Whoops! Changed it :)
Great song! But cannot play it on my guitar 😉
HOw can I purchase this or download to DVD
the image at 1:46 is a mormon painting.
And??? I'm sure they won't mind it being used to glorify the name of Jesus
Not gonna lie, that's actually a relief to me. It's good to know that the blame for an embarrassingly kitschy, outlandishly white-toned Jesus image can be laid squarely at the feet of a heretic.

not sure when this was written, but it sounds very much mid/late 90's TTFH stuff
;)
Dear O dear - it's a hymn, easy to sing, rather than a modern song, not for congregational singing - too tricky! Just enjoy the lyrics.
obviously i don't agree with the whole idea of religous brainwashing songs but this is a pretty massive tune
Its420Oclock Thats the power of music
Anyone know where I can find the chords to this song?
I thought Keith and Kristyn Getty wrote this song.
Copyright states Townend and Keith Getty
