The North Cascades Highway in Winter: Final Views of the Decade (4K Aerial)

Washington's spectacular North Cascades Highway weaves through stunning steep mountains that are often called the "American Alps." This beloved alpine highway, which first opened in the 1970s, closes in late fall due to avalanche risk and doesn't reopen until spring. But in December 2019 snow arrived late, and I was literally the last photographer to capture the beauty of the North Cascades for this decade. Enjoy these stunning aerial and moonlit views!
