  • Had a crack at the newly redesigned Marulan circuit in SuperSprint Round 3 with the BMW Drivers Club NSW team (The team put on a great event, check them out on Face Book). The track was great to drive on, just got to watch those concrete barriers around the majority of it!. I managed to run a best lap of 1.01.65 which put me in 12 position overall for the day which is a great result for my underpowered track rat.
The E36 performed well, i've since swapped out the 4.10 welded diff for a fully rebuilt 3.91 with a 'Racing Diffs Progressive LSD' which is possibly the first one in Australia. Besides that, the car is pretty much the same as last time.
The timer will start on my fastest lap of the day after a couple of minutes of video. Sorry about the poor stats, I couldn't run Harry's Lap Timer since its a brand new track. Enjoy!

Great stuff man! Sounding awesome. Gearing seems like a nice match for the circuit.

superhornet81 Cheers 👍 I think the 4.1s would be a bit better on this track with the tight turns, but the 3.9s worked well for sure. Exhaust certainly lets you know it's there!

dominator293 Yeah there were two turns I could see you would've tried 2nd in, at some stage during the day.

Hit this today with my 98 WRX, managed a 1:03.2 and was just getting my rhythm when my front rotors warped :( good fun

Sounds good, short ratio wouldn't work for the Nordschleife but on this track it's perfect

Ring Bimmer Thanks! The diff ratio certainly works on tracks here in Aus, far shorter than Nordschleife. I doubt my car would ever see the light of day over there hehe 😉
