    The excitement this Saturday morning of seeing on my feed a new video 😬 I’m slowly trying to upgrade my office. I’m a WFH nurse and I’m starting a Etsy shop soon so trying to upgrade organization, aesthetics, but also keep things simple and practical. Since this is actually worth an investment now. Next purchase is a new mouse and a keyboard.
    BTW; a mug warmer is game changer. My favorite thing on my desk. If you don’t have one, I promise it will change your life. I can sip my coffee comfortably all morning at my own pace. It brings me so much peace and happiness. And no. My elbows do not touch the wall.

    Oh Man! you are an amazing story teller, editor. love everything about your videos, I have been a silent viewer for such a long time ( I love journal videos and have been following your style as it works for me) .
    I literally paused this video and changed the ditrection of my desk and cleaned it up and then continued watching it, and it says alot about the quality, and Impact of information that you share. 🥰

    I had the Mx master too, def helped but eventually the pain came back... so I switched to the Logitech Lift vertical mouse. I have never had wrist/forearm pain since! Been a web and brand designer for 10ish years and wish I got it years ago!

    It is really worth waiting for your new uploads. Your creativity and attention to detail are so underrated (that shameless plug is so witty). I love your taste in design and the colors of your room not only match your personality but also your skin tone

    Simieee I love your videos and newsletter!!!!!!!! They feel so real and I feel the tranquility to genuinely concentrate on the message, find the way at my own pace and not on begin perfectionist or that everything looks aesthetic. Love your energy!

    Any recommendations for being assigned to a workspace without access to windows/ sun light? I was thinking about getting one of those SAD lamps, but they're so intensely bright!

    • @SimieIriarte
      @SimieIriarte  4 місяці тому +1

      Ahh I’ve been in this situation before. I made sure I took every single one of my lunch breaks outside if the temperature allowed and sometimes did a quick 5 min walk too. Oh and change your desktop wallpaper to a calming nature like bg with some green. Unfortunately I don’t have any light recommendations so hopefully someone else comments. Personalizing your desk with playful trinkets would help with mood too! Hmm. Maybe I needa make another video lol.

      @@SimieIriarte those are great ideas, thanks! I'm off to Google maps to see if I can find a little park or green spot near my building for lunchtime.

    • @psychedianic
      @psychedianic 4 місяці тому

      Is there a way to put a shade on the SAD lamp, to soften the brightness? I second Simie's advice to get outside when you can.

    Will I get the same benefit doing the wall angels on the floor? I have very little clear wallspace - also have a sore back (due to short hipflexors, etc etc) - so I try to do some stretching and easy workout each day - and also relax lying on my back on the flat floor. Have been doing floor angels and it feels really good, but will it to the same as if I were standing?

    • @SimieIriarte
      @SimieIriarte  4 місяці тому

      ahhh great question! floor angels do feel lovely and still open up the front side of your upper body, but the assistance from gravity reduces the positive effects that standing does. Standing makes the muscles contract more which has better benefits for reducing stiffness. If you wanna be on the floor still you can take this up to the highest notch beyond a wall angel, do it... face down! this will really get things going back there 🔥

      @@SimieIriarte Thanks for giving a real good answer - and an option! I will definately do this. As I both work on a computer all day and study 50% besides this I have way too many hours in front of a computer so having small tricks like this REALLY is a saviour for my health!
