I did my cousin's house long long time ago when it was brand new building a new house. I put Polly with the copper crimp rings and the copper bar fittings and they once to this day never had a leak in their house. Now you tell me why they take it off the market. The party pipe it wasn't the party pipe. It was the fittings that they were using nylon fittings and the aluminum rings. How dumb can you get but I don't know. Copper copper crimp rings copper fittings the bar which is the way to go. Never had a problem😊😊😊 so go eat some ice cream🎉
My icrimp tool came with a flat piece of metal about 2 inches long, notched on the ends and a hole in the middle and a thin steel pin 1 1/2 inches long. What are they for?
It’s to check if your crimp/cinch tool needs to be adjusted or not. The thin piece should slide in, but the thicker part should not. If this is not the case, it needs to be adjusted so it is the case.

What if you have to adjust/calibrate the crimp tool to the max setting? Will it be useless after that?

Is a Go and No Go gauge you use it after crimping to make sure the ring is properly crimped.
