- heres a video of me loading the mini digger and tracked dumper onto the trailer as you can see it all goes wrong defo need to put some legs onto the trailer to stabilize it. thanks for watching
Weld you some Re-rod across your ramps to get some grip....
Hey what do you make of that type of trailer? I’m going to look at one this evening a 12ft tipper
I would have the indespension tipper over the ifor Williams as the suspension doesn't rattle when driving with this like the ifor does because it's a rubber suspension rather than springs . Also very strong trailer. Can't fault it
Put the hilux in 4wd then leave it in gear. The front wheels will lock then so it won't roll.
Helps to pull on the handbrake on the trailer to stop the roll back as that's what is weight bearing when loading.
The trailer has auto reverse brakes so that wouldn't do anything unless I was facing down hill
good effort , hope you got the job done?
i did yes thanks dean loading the digger after the job was just as much fun ....!
Hi mate, you need more nose weight on the trailer,ie the jeeps rear springs need to be compressed a couple of inches at least. This prevents the possibility of "jack knifing".Hope this helps.
steven watson I no about the weight positioning on the trailer but on this trailer it was difficult as couldn't go too far forward or back as needed room for the Dumper my new trailer has a load management system so it tells me when wait is in the optimal position. But thank you for your comment
No probs mate!
How much does your miniexcavator weigh?
around about 1.5t
Your supposed to reverse up and keep bucket pushed into the ground to act as a jack and lift your self up every time you move forward about 2 feet
This was attempted Ian but I didn't have enough reach so had to stop and reposition the bucket but it just slid down. Works fine now I have added mesh to the ramp. But I have a new plant trailer now I use instead
did u put the handbrake on in your truck
yes the handbrake was on and it was in gear but becasue the rear of the truck lifted off the ground there was nothing to stop it rolling back
BW land Management oh ok i didnt see it lift up
the crafty farmer yes didn't lift off fully but enough for it to just drag straight over the gravel and role down
Ok cant wait for another great video to come out
the crafty farmer hopefully I will have some up soon my computer is in for repair so can't edit or upload
Good attempt why didn’t you put buckets in dumper
Aidan Casey I was trying to get as much weight on the front as possible to give me more grip all did not go to plan I have a new plant trailer now so no more loading nightmares :)
right number one buckets in dumper number two trailer brake on number 3 hilux in gear and 4wd . number 4 digger on so far spin round use bucket to level out on trailer as going up . buckets wont make that much dofference at the front ur better getting the digger as far forward as poss . not beging a dick im a lowloader driver for a living so theres some tips
Put Trailer brake on
Not operator error just idiocy
You are loading without prop stands. That's why it's going shit.
Yes but the propstands on the trailer were seezed and I wasn't thinking at the time
Now have a new ifor Williams plant trailer that has a full ramp with supports built in
Really loading onto a flatbed/tipper isn't the best as it can be top heavy with the weight so high but I didn't have a better way back then so I soon invested in something design to do the job
He hasn't a clue did you see how nervous he was what was all the bucket about. I've got the same ranks you just took the bucket into the digger line up and drive straight up. I wouldn't want him digging my drive ha ha
