ahh I'm on the Kirsty making channel! 🤣I loved coming to this course, incredibly helpful and Kirsty of course is an amazing teacher! if anyone is thinking of going, definitely do it! 😍
Omg I am in beauty school right now and I think I just learned more about how to lay acrylic in 13 minutes than the last 5 weeks together. Thank you! I hope you make this a series. You’re my favorite teacher!! 🥰
I totally agree they show you at college however zero explanation of how to pick up a bead. It would be great if you did a bigginer acrylic series application tips nail shapes sculpt hand filling efile applying polish the whole lot. You are a really talented U.K educator. Thanks for all the content x
OMG thank you sooooooo much!! I had so much trouble getting the right bead consistency because no one on UA-cam explained it like this!! Now I can't wait to try acrylic again with this new information and technique. I've only been using polygels and hard gels to do my nails because of how hard it was for me, that and the smell of the monomer. My family doesn't like the smell, BUT I figured out a way around it. Incense sticks with ventilation. Again, thank you so so so much!!❤❤❤❤❤
they also make an odorless monomer but it leaves a sticky layer like gel polish that can only be removed with a file. also it will leave the nail kind of shiny until the layer is filed away. hope that helps with the monomer smell as well
I’ve been doing nails for years & I still learned from watching ya.. as I learned from the beginning 6 yrs ago when I started on my own at 41 learning acrylic and gel. Completely self taught then I went to school to get my license… but honestly they didn’t teach anything I hadn’t already learned on my own . I knew more about nails and proper structure and sanitation than the instructor ..
I'm 47 and completed yet again another level 3 nail tech course 2 years after the first. I gave up trying in 2019 as I just got so deflated. These training places dont put enough into mastering acrylic as they are busy rushing you through the other stuff. Acrylic is the most sort after nail technique so you would think it would be more priority to emphasise on that. I felt more was thrown at manicures and pedicures as they came first on the course then acrylic and nail art was last which was in my opinion rushed through. Even e-file was rushed too. Advanced learner loan £3345 it's crazy!!!
I really hope that next year I will finely be able to book a place on the back to basics course 🤩 I think I would be able to finely get the basics down. You are such an amazing tutor and would be a dream come true to do it with you! Amazing information that I didn’t not get at college and to get to actually meet you in person will be amazing! ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰
Thank you for sharing this it helps some much. I have always wanted to do acrylic nails but where I do them at home my family can't handle the smell. So I'm giving gel a try it's OK but my heart is set on acrylics hopefully I'll be able someday soon. Thank you for sharing. 🥰 💖💖💖🤗
I’ve been wanting to do your course, but I have trouble travelling, so this is brilliant to see! I’d love more of these, even if we’ve to pay to view. You’re such a good teacher. Thank you x
I’ve been doing my own nails for about two years now and I started out with acrylic but could never get it figured out or correct so I gave up acrylic in general but lately it’s been on my mind to give it another shot and you’re making it really easy!!
Thank you. I have learned so much from watching all your videos. I do my best to mimic your technique!! I'm just a nail enthusiast at this point. I do nails for my daughter and her friends and practice sets on my practice hand. I'm thinking of going to school and becoming certified so I can actually make money at this. But did I notice in this video that you have your own acrylic powders now????
Ok so stupid question, I just recently started getting manicures. The first was gel and my nails looked nice but it chipped and after I soaked and got all the polish off my nails looked so bad. Now I tried the dipped, will my nails look as bad as before when the polish comes off? I didn’t get tips or anything just my plain nails. PS I love watching your videos
