      @@stepan-ouyang I can tell you that you really need to get a health and safety audit of your activities particularly from an aerosols and occupational health exposure expert. You are harming your employees and causing them great long-term health issues that will contribute to their mortality. PPE should be the last option to your staff. For your process here, you need to have a robust risk assessment in place, ensure the outcome of the risk assessment is communicated and you must invest in the necessary controls.

  • @ABW941
    @ABW941 2 місяці тому

    what exactly are those fibers? Isnt it quite hard to cut Glassfibers this way and still have them conduct light? Dont you need tools which will cut them with heat to leave the needed surface?

    • @stepan-ouyang
      @stepan-ouyang  2 місяці тому

      Although it is called optical fiber, it is still actually plastic and can allow light to pass through as long as there is no blockage at both ends.😃😃

    • @ABW941
      @ABW941 2 місяці тому

      @stepan-ouyang Yes, but doesnt the surface at the end have to be very even? I personally encountered problems cutting them with scissors and powertools, i got the best results with a hot blade (maybe i suck at this).

    • @stepan-ouyang
      @stepan-ouyang  2 місяці тому

      @@ABW941 You're right, the hot blade is a very good idea too. No matter which way you cut, the ultimate goal is to let it cure with the concrete, and you will need to grind the surface together at the end. So I think the method is flexible and can be selected according to the specific situation.😊

    3D print the molds and this can be the future of almost all structural construction. Easier to blow massive volumes of liquid than haul around a robot to extrude small layers. That and the finish is better for molded parts over layered concrete printing... Not that they can't be resurfaced early enough, but complex geometry and overhangs benefit greatly from this peocess.
    Anyway, cool. One of the better industrial shorts. Another great corner of this niche is concrete foam, look it up and thank me later. ✨
