I invite northern friends to visit Tamil Nadu. You should also know about queen Velu Nachiyar who faught agaist the British during the 17th century, well before Queen of Jhansi was born. The British could never tame her & she died naturally. I think Velu Nachiyar is being hidden in history books, because she was very much trained in modern warfare by Hyder Ali & Tipu. In the Dindigul fort in central Tamil Nadu, Tipu built a Hindu temple for the personal use of Queen Velu Nachiyar. One can find about her history in the net & UA-cam.

The Brihadisvara Temple at Thanjavuris a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. It is one of the largest South Indian temples and an exemplary example of fully realized Tamil architecture. Built by Raja Raja Chola I between 1003 and 1010 AD. The original monuments of this 11th century temple were built around a moat.

It is because, Congress has a muslim background with a guy Ferroz khan. So they wrote our constitution in favour of Mughals history. And indirectly projected India as MUSLIM country. They even highlighted Taj mahal instead of Thanjay periya kovil or and other temples and they cheated in many things.
