Chanakyas father was Acharya Chanak that's why he was also called as Chanakya although his original name was Vishnugupt...his father ie Acharya Chanak led the protest against Dhananand ...so he was imprisoned and he died there...Chanakya then moved to Takshashila for education..
When Alexander signed a pact with Aamhhik{ruler of Gandhar} and defeated Parvateshwar ie Porus...Chanakya asked Magadha as it was the strongest empire at that time for help in order to save AKHAND BHARAT...be he was humiliated there and was thrown out of the court...then he took a pledge to destroy the tyrannical Nand Empire....🙏

Now the destruction and plunder of Bharat began early from 712 AD - when these Arabs defeated Sindh under Mohammad Bin Qasim, followed by gigantic and atrocious raids Ghaznavid and others from Central Asia, then came another dark era in 1194 Muhammad Ghori and the subsequent establishment of the Delhi Sultanate, followed by Timur, Mughals invasion (who crossed the threshold of cruelness and had main motive to convert remaining Indians to their religion - which now can we find scattered throughout) and finally British Raj (which lasted actually 100 years post 1st rebelled against East India Company).
Now any wise person can see the knowledge and wealth was looted and plundered systematically by these Central Asians invaders (Turkish, Arabs, Mongols) right from 712 AD. The number of genocides and torchers brought by these invaders to ancient Indians (until British came) were immense which actually destructed Ancient Indians wisdom and People (read the fall of Nalanda and Taxila universities and how they enjoy to destroy and plunder the Indian temples and houses) and gave rise to new breeds who were followers, converters and slaves.
