Minus the Bear - "Pony Up" Riff Run-Through

*No puppies were harmed in the making of this video.
Oddly a lot of requests for this deep cut off 2004’s “They Make Beer Commericals Like This.” Most MTB songs were meticulously worked on during practice but this one was more of a studio creation. I made a little demo of the main riff with a drum machine and thought it would be fun to work on. The song ended up being a great studio experiment that really put the gears in motion for all the sounds that were about to happen on “Menos el Oso.” Towards the end of tracking Jake (@jakehsnider) wrote the beautiful acoustic guitar part to finish it off. It was the perfect contrast to all the mechanical chaos of the sampled and tapped electric guitar.
