- The Atomos Shinobi 7 is a 7 inch version of the original 5 inch Shinobi field monitor for cameras. This time with two battery slots, a separate DC power in port and HDMI in and out as well as SDI in and out channels. Not only that, but the Shinobi 7 also has 2200nits of screen brightness, which is over double what the Shinobi 5 and Ninja V have.
In this video, Shawn gets us acquainted with the new monitor by Atomos and shows off all the amazing specs this display offers.

Hii. What is ball head you use for attach shinobi and camera?
Hii
Can I use shinobi 7 4k for game capture device , shinobi 7 has inbuilt recording feature using ssd or sd card ?
Thanks for your review, appreciate it
Glad it was helpful!
Can it control a c200?
The Shinobi 7: Video-shooters, I got you covered. No need to ever worry about the sun now!
The Sun: (Overhears the chatter) Hold my beer. I got work to do.
😭😭😭😂😂😂
Does this version include a rule of third grid overlay?
Is this flicker (PWM) free in the same sense that Asus and LG advertise their computer monitors as flicker-free ?
How is it compare with Feelworld LUT6,7?
Hey, does the USB port put out 5v power so it can power the Holyland transmitter?
Hi Jake! I'm afraid it does not provide 5v power for accessories. You'll need to power the Hollyland transmitter and receiver independently in this case.
Thanks for watching! - Shawn
How is the balance of the Shinobi 7 on smaller millorless cameras such as the Sony A7siii?
Horrible
Hey wex, just got mine in today
When trying the different aspect ratio, do you know if there is a way to make the bars solid black instead of transparent?
Hello! I'm afraid the letterboxing is set with the slight transparency. This is so it can be used as a guide, but so you can also see what else you have in frame for when you're in the edit, just in case you wished to keep an un-letterboxed version of your film.
I hope this helped. Thank you for watching! - Shawn
@@WexPhotoVideo thank you wex!
@@WexPhotoVideo thanks for the info man!
also last question
would you happen to know if its possible to playback footage from the camera using the touch screen on atomos?
or is it only done possible through the camera
@@TimandLauren Hello again! Camera control from the Shinobi 7 is only compatible with the Z Cam at this stage. So, any playback would need to be controlled through the camera connected.
Hope this helps! - Shawn
I was going to order 5 inch shonobi sdi but they discontinued it. I ended up 7 inch desview r7p. If this monitor was 400-500 I would buy it buts is way over priced in canada at 900 plus bucks
Overpriced? Are you ok?
Is this sharper than the ninja v?
Hi Derrick. The Shinobi 7 has a 1920x1200 resolution display whereas the Ninja V has a 1920x1080 resolution display. They're not different enough in their resolutions for one to be sharper than the other. However, the size difference does play a big part in the difference. The bigger display of the Shinobi 7 would certainly give a better view of your image out in the field and does so with it's Full HD resolution.
I hope this helps! Thank you for watching - Shawn
is it made of plastic?
Hi I m still thinking should I get one with recording function or Just viewing purposes, I m new in videography N own a nikon z62
Beside, should I get the camera cage rig instead just connect on the hot shoes?
