I LOVE THE LITTLE THUMBNAIL DISNEY SCOTT!!!
Isn't it ADORABLE?
i would watch and/or create a movie where that's the main character who goes on a quest as the wise mentor/parent figure for a wonderfully diverse group of less experienced characters, and they all have flaws that are worked on throughout the progression of the story. and with an amazing art style (or, like, a ton of art styles because that would be cool)
@@user-pl5yn4rs2jhell ye, but how are u genuinely gonna plan to make it?
@@ssavaart It is, it really is
It’s so adorable it makes my heart melt ❤️
My husband got me your painting as a Mother’s Day gift and we are displaying it in our game room. Our D&D buddies are FLOORED by its beauty and some of them even “found themselves” in the painting. I can’t wait to delve into my coloring page over the summer ❤ Thank you for compiling your videos like this. I missed a large amount of them during your journey and this way I can enjoy them during work.
Oh. This means the world to me. Happy Mother's Day
Oh congrats! I was gonna try to get it for my nephew’s wedding. He and his fiancé met playing D&D. That was so ice of your hubby to get it for you! Much love 💕🐝💕
I love when you said “let your art be wonky - that’s what makes it art”. I was watching an urban sketching tutorial yesterday and was shocked when the artist said “yes, the building is leaning more than it is in real life, but I like it that way! I’ll leave it.” Sometimes what we think of as “mistakes” are just part of the art :)
I love how respectfull and inclusive you are with drawing representation of all kinds of people! Fantasy should reflect real life and people in real life are diverse and unique :)
Any plans to make The Guild into a jigsaw puzzle? I would love that.
That would be so cool
I'll look into it
@@ssavaart can’t wait 🦥❤️
@@ssavaart there are so many things you paint that i wish were puzzles.
He would be a great candidate for a new artist at ravensburger.
I like to think that the (definetly not you) orc character is the very successfull owner of the tavern. He has that sort of smile that he is just happy to have made a welcoming space for everyone to meet up and make good memories.
I want to thank you. I gave up on art because I kept over thinking what I was trying to create and couldn't get what was going on the paper to perfectly match what was in my head. Your video was inspiring, you showed and talked about how art doesn't have to be perfect, if you keep going your art can turn out better than what you imagined. Now I want to try again, thanks to you, Scott. Watching your picture come to life was amazing. Thank you for sharing your art and wisdom.
You are so welcome!
Goblin is a bit tall but that’s a very tiny thing. I’m glad overall you didn’t draw her as just a green halfling. I really really love this painting and think the representation is amazing
Yeah, googling male goblin and female goblin gives WILDLY different results 😂
I love the elf. She’s so boujee and the way she carries herself, I reckon she would be a sorcerer.
I dont want this to be cliche or sound stupid, but I do genuinely want to be like you when I grow up, having an entire room dedicated for art, and having SO much representation in that art.
Your videos always inspire me to create :)
Oh. That means so much to me. Thank you so much! ♥
As a therian, your explanation was beautiful. It's simple but perfect. We don't think we're animals, apart of us is just so deeply connected that it's like our soul is that of one. You, Scott, are a lovely person.
Hi, I was always curious about this kind of against "people who over react to therians, furrys etc." is it like a spirit animal? Thank you if you answer my question.
@SpaceMarineJeff sorta. It's like... a part of you is an animal on a non physical level. And you feel that connection.
@@commanderriptide7723 Hmm I understand the explanation but yeah it seems hard to explain
@@Myer2011
Heres my explanation of therianthropy (at least how i experience it)
Therians feel a non physical connection and identity to a specific species of animal or multiple speicies. This connection may by just physiological, or may be due to a past life. Therians don’t think theyre physically animals, and are NOT the same thing as furries! Hope this helps!
@@Alderz_Tavern ok thanks so some of the mask things some people do are expressive?
I'm still not even half way through watching it and I just have to say, this, everything, is just so beautiful. I know a lot of others have probably said this, but you're a great source of inspiration that is getting me more into art and the real beauty of it. Everything you have said so far has really resonated with me and brought some sort of comfort as well. I'm glad I came to this video.
Wow, thank you!
I love the thumbnail art for this. It’s amazing.
Me too! ♥
Love Disney Scott, the cartoon is instantly recognizable when my feed pops up and it's so cute it makes me smile. Well done!
I love this so much! Some neices and nephews and I are looking to start our first DnD campaign together, so this is just awesome to see right now.
I had this idea that the tortle, grandmother-like character is the owner of the tavern, or is the parent of the owner of the tavern. Who hands out snacks to the kids that pass by. I saw another comment in which the person thought that the orc, that definitely isn’t Scott, was the tavern’s owner, so maybe he’s the tortle’s adoptive son, or something- This is just an idea or suggestion! I love your art, and this work, and just your whole vibe- or feel, Scott. You’re a huge inspiration to me, as a small artist, and I love your level of inclusiveness!
I love seeing someone make art with all the nerdy stuff and cool references that I like. Never change Scott!
I have endless admiration for the beauty and wonder that is this painting, and the amazing work Scott put into it!
I love all the detail and experience and the subtle interactions between the characters, I love how colorful the Guild is and how it looks like a big group photo and I love the diversity.
But most of all I love all the little stories that are hidden in the painting, some maybe intentionally and some not.
Like how the two human fighters are sitting with serious faces watching the dwarf, maybe wondering why he has his axe drawn.
The shared glances between the centaur and the quiet one
The tiefling smirking as they see the halfling and shifter goofing off
How the knome and the pink haired elf woman look like they are giggling over an inside joke
The kenku staring into nothingness dreaming about stabbing
And how it looks like the fawn is a little weary or surprised by the enchantresses magic.
Also I like to try to find the sweaters/cloaks that I think the old tortle made (I also like to think that she made the ear-defenders for the centaur)
Yay! This is great to play in the background while I work! Missed a bunch of the shorts. Thanks Scott!

Another good method is just having any scrap bit of cardboard to tape your works to, I usually use the backboards from empty paper pads, but only if you have A5 - A3 sized works, unlike Scott's usual larger ones
You should totally do Mumford and sons as a painting! I love your art!
This idea is SO cool! This has inspired me to continue drawing my family’s dnd characters.
I’m not finished watching this yet but I just want to thank you so much for making this. I know you did this for you and not us but seeing the representation of so many different types of characters is amazing. Diversity is important and the inclusivity in this beautiful piece of art is incredible
You are so welcome!
I love longer videos like this. Ironically, during this video I was working on my own dnd-based fantasy world and it really is nice to have something to watch while doing it. Keep up the good work!
youve really inspired me to try this type of drawing. I always drew things in pieces, never have i drawn characters interacting with eachother or even that many being close to each other, and the fact that you were able to, while explaining ur processes and thoughts, truly brought it a lot of inpiration that made me want to do the same. So I wanna attempt it aswell :) thank you.
Turtles are goofy when they eat or even when they sunbathe
I love how you put in a Therian! (I am one)
As an artist that is constantly discuraged by speed paintings i see on the internet, it meens alot to me that you kept your preperation in the video and show the incredable amount of time that you put into this work to make it look as good as it does. Thank you so much
I lovedd watching the guild lives :D it's sooo much fun following a big project like that! Turned out amazing! thank you
YESSS I’ve been waiting for this. sitting down with a hot cuppa and watching this will be my hobby for the next 3 business days
Thank you for making it one video! Its easier for me to see it all than in separate videos. I love this piece and you inspire me so much!
This is incredible, thank you so much for sharing your work process this way. One of my bff sent me this video to cheer me up since I'm not doing great at the moment, it worked beyond expectations. Thanks a lot, again !
This was an amazing video to have on the side while drawing digitally. I adore the diversity of the characters!!
What I love about your videos is how you explain your process as if you are having a face-to-face conversation with the viewer, makes you feel the words you say if that makes sense, at least this is how i feel. Keep it up! :D
IT IS DONE! I'm so happy to see this finished.
"Join me later for an autistic centaur" and "It's kobold time!" are definitely up there with the greatest lines ever uttered.
37 characters is mad. You might've already explained it and I just missed it, but is there a reason you picked that? Or did you just find 37 beautiful reference photos and stuck with that?
I LOVE your character art. The two test characters with just watercolors and ink were so cool. They look like they should be illustrations in like a fantasy guidebook or something.
With the painting, it surprised me a little that you did the characters one by one. My usual process is laying out the shadows and basic colors for all characters in the scene so I can be 100% sure that they'll all look like they belong because I tend to accidentally make some stand out too much from the rest.
I really like the gnome. From the first sketch, I liked their cheerful expression. You're on point with the "I'd desperately try to avoid someone like them at social events", but I think I wouldn't mind just being in their presence. Maybe from a distance, but they seem fun to me.
Centaur and the quiet lady are adorable.
The big cat character is really cool, too. I'd call them Tora which means tiger in Japanese, and in Old Norse the name realtes to the god Thor.
Sorry for the long comment. I'm really excited about this.
I also just wanted to thank you again. I'm an autistic, transmasculine, gay artist and it really means the world to me to see allies be so outspoken about their support. I owe my life to allies like you and I really don't think I would be here today, at least definitely not as happy as I am these days. I love the diverse cast of characters and I'm sure everyone else who is in some way represented in your art is really thankful for your support as well. Thank you for everything
Oh. That means the world to me. Thank you.
And 37 is just what it came out to be. No planning or meaning. ☺️
This is amazing! Please shoot more long videos like this, it’s invaluable for a beginner to witness the entire decision process
I’m currently working on a small campaign for my friends, and seeing all the different races and classes next to each other and seeing interact has been so helpful and the art is gorgeous too ❤
So gorgeous, compositing so many characters is a huge task, congrats
you are such a wonderful role model and mentor figure in the art world. it’s a breath of fresh air. much love! (absolutely WONDERFUL painting btw)
This was such a lovely and inspiring journey. I've been having a hard time getting back into drawing since I've been through stressful circumstances and my creative brain and will just shuts down. I feel most people vent out their hardships into their art, but I seem to be unable to do so, and it's excruciating. But I've always wanted to make a big splash piece with all my characters and your workflow certainly clicked with me! And, imagine my surprise when you started drawing Kiwi and I realized I was watching a video by the author of Dreamland Chronicles and it just brought me back to the days I fervently followed the webcomic, and how you started it for your twin boys. And got the thought that maybe it's time I got my stories out of my head, if anything to one day be able to share them with my child... so, thank you very much, Scott ^^!
that piece is not only great looking art, but very inspiring story behind it. thank you for sharing this and all thoughts narrated in background!
This is such a wonderful project! Even though I was not at the live streams, I thoroughly enjoy this walkthrough of your progress. Love your art and your insights on making art! I’m inspired to keep growing my art too. Thanks, Scott!
D&D has been my life for the past 4 years, it helped me though Covid and it’s helped me meet new people and now It is currently my job to teach kids D&D
And I just wanted to say that this is amazing and truly captures the beauty and celebratory chaos of it all ❤
Having all the collective differences and inclusivity makes my heart feel full. Thanks Scott
Also that thumbnail is amazing! 😂
Scott I really like your drawing and painting I'm still a noobie at drawing and paint but went I saw your video it's good I really wish you make your drawing guide app it's perfect to new generation of artists
The 2 in the back very tall underneath the shield and chandelier, look like the guild leaders to me thats the vibe im getting (srry 4got the terms for them) absolutely love how it looks btw 😊😊
I love your art it always inspires me! It would be amazing to see a character that identified demigirl (she/they) someday, it feels like we are under represented. I don't know how you could show that and ofc only if you feel inspired by that idea. Thank you for reminding me that making art is about having fun and that everyone makes mistakes
This is so cool! I love the little Easter eggs and tiny details in each character
Scott your so talented! I love your art so much! Also the tabaxi race is so cool!
i'm listening to this while i'm working on a comic for a friend, and honestly there's something about your positivity and showing your mistakes just really helps keep me going. You're amazing dude, cant wait to see what comes next :3
The cold press ink lines actually look really good imo, the wonkiness matches your patchy watercolors.
Hi Mr Sava!
First I absolutely adore your videos, My art block flies off my head when I come across one of your shorts
( If you don't mind) Can you make a video talking about different types of inks for Lineart?
i love your line work, your use of line weight is so expert and it really makes the elements you want to focus on pop :)
you make me want to practice, learn, and do more art ! so thank you !!!
i love watching your videos :) they’re always such a pick me up. your voice, the music and of course the art is just so calming to look at, sorta feels like being near a cozy fire :)
I love these long form content sm!! They're really nice🤍 and really good quality! Il be watching more of these videos
Tell me why I cried multiple times during this video at all of the positive representation and kind words. Thank you for letting everyone see themselves in your work it really does matter!
I love this video so much, from the start it was actually making me so happy to watch.
I've been watching this while I exercise cuz I wanted to exercise and learn and omg this is the only thing I've found that's kept me this entertained for this long
I absolutely love this painting. It was so fun to watch this, I enjoyed it a lot!
ive been watching this on and off when i need a little bit of inspiration or a break from the drawings ive been doing and its been an absolute pleasure ^_^ it came out so good!!!!
I love this video thumbnail, amazing art!!!!!!!!! Also I saw all of the other videos but s gonna watch this whole way through!!❤❤
Scott is officially a Disney princess The thumbnails i love!!
This is absolutely beautiful and stunning and I love all these characters with there own characteristics
(Would've loved to see a a warforged and firbolg but I digress)
I checked out the poster on the website and I love there's a donna's recommendations section it''s so sweet
I love the thumbnail art! It’s nice to have all the shorts in one video
This video really reminded me of the joy of drawing. Thank you ❤
I own an antique wooden wheelchair I use for steampunk cosplay. It looks cool, but is very heavy and cumbersome compared to my aluminum ultralight.
The idea can work in D&D, but should really look more like early bicycles than “furniture with wheels.” It depends on the setting, though. A social game in a city wouldn’t be too bad, but dungeon crawling would be all but impossible. I actually dreamed up a character who’s a paraplegic goblin ranger-she rides a big spider with a special saddle that straps in her legs and lower back, so that when the spider crawls to the ceiling she can rain arrows down from above.
There’s several online guides for drawing wheelchairs written by disabled people that you might find useful. My fave is from The Mary Sue. In general-lightweight for mobility, lower back to allow more shoulder movement, designed to be pushed by the person sitting in it rather than a standing person. If you _can_ use your arms to push, you _should_ use them in order to exercise and stay strong. Only those with very limited upper body strength should be relying on motorized/magical propulsion.
I think this would do AMAZING for a DM screen.
THESE LONG FORM VIDEOS ARE SO COZY OMGG
I JUST GOT MY POSTER AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY JAW DROPPING 😱❤️😭✨ Thank you so much for your videos and your art, you are truly an inspiration ❤️
The tortle give me some major Dark Crystal vibes and I love that ✨
that's amazing and was so much fun to watch!
This was so cool to watch. It really encouraged me to get away from digital art and get back to traditional arts. I never liked Watercolors but this video is encouraging me to get co back and try again.
This seriously a great piece.
I haven't enjoyed 2h video like this one ! I cant describe how much i enjoyed this one there is to much information that will take me years to archive but with scott he make it easier and enjoyable and he gave me motivation for to many things , i can't describe what i am feeling because i don't know english but what i can say this video make me feel im with my dad , thank you so much for your effort ❤
Thanks Scott for making this ultimate video!!!
the new thumbnails represent u so well! i love them!
This is such a cool painting!!
This made me start drawing again after a few weeks of not doing much of anything related to art. I wasnt happy with any of what i was doing, but this video gave me the freedom to just... create. Thank you :)
Absolutely My Pleasure ♥
Hey I love all your works and all the little details that you it into them your such an amazing artist and I hope you have a wonderful day.
This man inspires me to continue drawing, even when I feel like quitting. Thank you so much, Scott.
Oh man this is such a beautiful piece of art work, You are amazing
2 minutes in
screamed in joy when i realised that this video is a SUPER long one!!
As a physically disabled person and ambulatory wheelchair user, I teared up seeing you include a wheelchair user and that it wasn’t an afterthought. You put so much thought and care into the design of the wheelchair. I truly appreciate that you recognized a stranger touching someone’s wheelchair is not okay. Your instinct to be inclusive is so refreshing and is a big reason I adore you and your art🩷
Scott this painting is really amazing! I love how you did every character (almost)and i appreciate your time and effort but i would really like kt if you could do a similar painting with harry potter.
Once again "Tomorrow Scott" gets all the hard work, to do!
Hey there! I really love your content! Your musings on paper choice reminded me of my apprenticeship as a technical designer. Back then I used transparent paper. It's super smooth and you could scratch off ink with a razor blade without damaging the paper (when careful). It's so smooth, you had to look really closely to distinguish between printed and hand-drawn.
But I guess it's horrible for water colors. 😅
as a digital artist your videos always make me want to paint. more generally, they inspire me to get better at drawing and try things that i'm not good at :) i love your videos
i love the long form videos and i love the new thumbnails!!!
the thumbnail, the editing, the ART
YOURE AMAZING
The painting is beyond describable when it comes to it's beauty
This video was just absolutely amazing in every way! As someone who is disabled and queer seeing representation in art is always so amazing. This also finally gave me the confidence to start my larger watercolor drawing with 25 character, that I have been wanting to but to scared to start for around a year now. Your advice and creativity is so amazing and this turned out stunning!
This makes me so happy. ♥
I don't know why, but this really reminds me of sitting at the TV watching episodes of a show in between 15 minutes of ads. And honestly, I'd sit at the TV to watch all the little sections of this video throughout the ad breaks!
I love the way it's all in the same video, totally watching again now 😂😂 Awesome thumbnails btw 👍👍
I love how wonky your art is. Because once I was doodling a girl with hair on her face, and then that reminded me on your guild and Florence Welch drawing.❤❤
I am going into high school next year and I have an obnoxious art teacher that ignores my autism and today I found a new art teacher this channel 😊:)!!
I love Your work you’re so good
Congrats Scott you are fantastic in everithing
i haven’t even finished the video and i love it already! I’m a young artist ! and you rlly inspire me to keep doing something i enjoy !
10 out of 10 thumbnail and video keep up the good work man
I don't comment on really any videos, and am not much into D&D, but I am disabled and the representation with the mage in the wheelchair and the autistic centaur? The thought put into the dragonborne having their hand on the wheelchair? Absolutely amazing. The whole artwork is stunning and I loved watching the process, but the part that captivated me the most was the representation and positivity. 🫶
Thank you so much! ♥
This video went by so fast, it felt so cosy😊
