They can be so funny together, each calling the other out, pranking, or pushing each other's buttons. They worship each other without ever losing sight of who the other person is or trying to push each other toward perfection. There is so much acceptance here, a really safe space to live in with someone you love.

I'm sure the writers will give them challenges to face, but they will remain a couple in love with each other & overcome challenges together. They aren't going to split them up or anything. HM & the WCTH co-creators know better. Elizabeth & Nathan belonged together. HM almost canceled the show after S9 because of poor demo numbers in S9. Kavan Smith (Lee) said in an interview that WCTH was almost canceled. So that tells me changes had to be made to save the show.

I love Elizabeth & Nathan's love story. These two just belong together! There is so much organic chemistry in all parts of their relationship & I'm not just talking about their romantic relationship, but that is organic, very natural & beautiful too! ❤ I seriously love that their romance came in a gentle, "Love Comes Softly" fashion from S6-S11 and romance began once Elizabeth got control of her fears & admitted to Nathan that she was in love with him! ❤ I love that their love is just natural & geniune. There is great fun, playfulness, & humor in their relationship. 😂❤😊 However, there will be times that it will be serious (I'm thinking about Higgins situation & the cliff hanger about E's late husband, Jack & Hargraves in town)
& Elizabeth knows that Nathan has a protective nature about him & will always be there for her. I love that Elizabeth's relationship with Nathan is just natural & informal them both being their authentic self. Two people in love! Elizabeth & Nathan's relationship went from a solid, strong friendship & connection + love to a solid, strong, romance and deep true love with an even deeper connection with trust & honesty at the core with friendship still being a strong foundation for their romantic relationship. ❤❤🔥😍 😊💘
I'm not going to say anything bad about Lucas, but Elizabeth & Lucas were very formal. Lucas was about wining & dining Elizabeth. Lucas was hoping that Elizabeth would like Lucas for doing all the grand gestures & fancy things that would remind Elizabeth of the life she left back in Hamilton with her wealthy parents when she was a child/teenager. As a young adult Elizabeth went to college became a teacher & left that lifestyle behind moving to Coal Valley to teach. So, there was some familiarity & being comfortable to have all the familiar things Elizabeth grew up with. I think for Elizabeth, Lucas reminded her of a combination of her wealthy father & Charles Kensington. There was some comfort in that & a feeling of being safe. So, this is the reason in my opinion that the writers called Elizabeth's relationship with Lucas a safe relationship a safe love. But Elizabeth was always in love with Nathan Grant since Nathan told her he was in love with her in S8. Elizabeth was just fearful so she rejected Nathan because she was afraid of losing another great love in S8. Then Lucas kept pursuing Elizabeth & she settled for a safe relationship until she couldn't settle anymore & broke up with Lucas in S10.
In the end, Elizabeth realized she didn't want the safe relationship that she wanted to live in HV & raise Jack Jr in HV. Elizabeth also got to the point that she recognized she choose Lucas because he was a safe relationship. Elizabeth also knew she was deeply in love with Nathan her second great love. Jack being Elizabeth's first great love. Hopefully, Nathan will be Elizabeth's lifetime love! ❤ 😊
As for Lucas, I believe LS officially ended the love triangle. Nathan & Elizabeth are ENdgame as a couple. For Lucas,
I believe the writers will eventually give him a great relationship with someone a new character in CC. I'm hoping for a sassy, sexy city girl for Lucas! 😂😊 Someone who will appreciate his grand gestures & wining & dining a woman in his very formal style. It was all pretty. ❤😊 However, whoever Lucas ends up with hopefully Lucas tells her all his past history & isn't mysterious keeping his past hidden like Lucas did to Elizabeth. Elizabeth didn't know Lucas as well as she thought. So, it's a good thing they didn't get married & Elizabeth broke up with him. I do hope for a great storyline for Lucas in Capital City.
I can't wait to see more about Nathan & Elizabeth's romance in S12. I hope to see a beautiful courtship. However, I hope it's a short courtship. Nathan & Elizabeth already know each other so well. They have known each other five years now! It will be going on six years in S12. 😂 So, #wcth writers if you ever watch these video edits, please consider a short courtship for Elizabeth & Nathan. Let Nathan & Elizabeth get married. We can still see lots lots of romance in their marriage. 💕 Also, I look forward to seeing blended family storylines. ❤ 💒 🏡 😊 💘

Well, majority of hearties disagree with you. Based on the polls over 70% prefer Nathan and Elizabeth as a couple. Only 30 Lucas & Elizabeth. The WCTH co-creators had to break up E&L because of poor demo numbers in season 9. Hallmark almost canceled WCTH after S9 because of the demo numbers. So, to save the show Hallmark & the WCTH co-creators broke up E&L. Then got Nathan and Elizabeth together as a romantic couple in love. Literally hearties were told in an interview from actor Kavan Smith (Lee) that WCTH was almost canceled after season 9. So, the reason it's Elizabeth with Nathan is because that change was necessary to save WCTH. So, I think we will see Elizabeth marry Nathan one day and Nathan adopt Jack becoming Jack Jr's adoptive "dad" I think Lucas will get a redemption story for his past. Then be a successful governor in CC. I think after healing occurs that Lucas, Elizabeth, and Nathan will be friends at some point. With Lucas being friends with Elizabeth & Nathan, Lucas will get to remain Jack Jr's "buddy" when Lucas is visiting HV. I think Lucas will be working as governor in CC mostly & will end up a successful governor. Lucas will also be building a personal life in CC. I'm sure Henry will work for Governor Bouchard in CC. Lucas asked Lee to work for him too. So, it's possible Lee says yes and Lee & Rosemary move to CC. We have to wait & see what Lee & Rosemary decide in WCTH S12. I do believe the writers will get Lucas happy again in a new relationship with a new character in CC to be Lucas' girlfriend.
I'm actually wondering if the co-creators are in a WCTH transition season in WCTH S12 with showing Nathan & Elizabeth's life mostly in HV + the HV community & storylines. We see Lucas' life in CC working as governor with Henry and maybe Lee. We see Lucas creating a new personal life in CC.
Then we get two shows.
WCTH Season 13 with Elizabeth, Nathan, and their kids. Nathan and Elizabeth's careers as two people serving their community. Nathan as the lawman. Elizabeth as the school teacher. Then we get all the other HV community storylines.
Then we get a WCTH spin off show. WCTH:CC season 1 with Lucas life in CC as governor working. We see his personal life with some old friends, and alot of new friends. We see Lucas get a new girlfriend. Lucas gets a sassy beautiful woman from the city as his girlfriend from Capital City.
I think Lindsay just ended the love triangle is all Nathan & Elizabeth will be a couple. Nathan & Elizabeth will one day marry raising their kids, Allie & Jack Jr. in a blended family. I believe whatever new girlfriend Lucas gets will end up being Lucas' great, true love too. Lucas will end up marrying his girlfriend from CC. Then Lucas will get a family of his own someday. Oh I also believe Lucas will be friends with Elizabeth & Nathan after some healing occurs. With Lucas being friends with Elizabeth & Nathan, Lucas will get to remain Jack Jr's "buddy" even when Elizabeth & Nathan marry + Nathan adopts Jack Jr becoming Jack Jr's adoptive "dad" 😊 I truly think the writers will make Nathan and Lucas both good guys in the end. Lucas needs a redemption story for his past first though. But in the end, Lucas will get a good life. Nathan will also get a good life with Elizabeth & their kids. ❤❤❤❤😊 I'm actually a fan of both Kevin McGarry as Nathan Grant and Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard. So, I want happiness for both men eventually & for them to be friends one day. 😉
I don't think it would be a good idea to have Rosemary and Lee Colter move to Capitol City with Goldie because Rosemary and Elizabeth are very close friends it was one of the big reasons why Elizabeth didn't want to leave Hope Valley Elizabeth stay for Rosemary.
Lee and Rosemary, both actors Pascal Hutten and Kaven Smith, are so important to the show.
They have built an additional set so all the Capitol City scenes can be filmed on the same set as the Hope Valley storylines
