Magnificent, great use of space. I will be looking for places to hide my extra bits from now on can’t believe that hadn’t occurred to me. Standing over here with little tubs full of extra options.👍
I got some interesting advice. If you're on a budget or don't want to put too much time into it, the leman russ has lots of press fit sections that you can just use blue tack on. The sponsons, and demolisher cannon work pretty well for this because they both just slide on in. I saw a several year old example that was in great condition.
That was fantastic.. such a great idea, and also looks great.. Can't believe ive never thought to magnatize the spare bits to a tray, which can be kept in the tank. Now do I rip everything apart, just to save me carrying all parts loose in a box?? Yes, yes, i will!!
I stopped magnetizing because of all the loose bits like do I just have a whole foam tray for all of em then I thought of this and now I am back to magnetizing
This is brilliant! Beats my method of tossing them loose inside the body. Not sure when I'll be building another tank, but going to try this when I do.
@@OchoMiniatures Love the video. I've been speed building and magnetizing 3 Leman Russ this past week for a games night. Wish i saw this video two weeks ago haha. Happy to subscribe and support the channel purely based off the fact that all of my future guard tanks are going to use this awesome method. another question, where'd you get the steel sheets?
It’s my own design I am still working on a decent way to have files and code in a place where everyone can access them but if you need it now shoot me an email
This is spectacular, and it also can very likely be adapted to other vehicles in our motor pool, hell hounds, chimera etc, thanks a million!

Exactly! Got a few more things I am magnetizing at the moment we will see what storage ideas I come up with

This is so cool! A good magnet job is one of the most satisfying things, I could sit there just swapping the weapons forever
And with storage lol

Now to make a small connector so that it knows what weapons are connected and can play the appropriate sounds
Wow 😮
You're a genius!
I don’t know about genius but I am pretty happy about this idea
Brilliant!
Incredible vid
Thanks!
Magnatize the whole weapon loadout and store it inside of the body.
*Heavy Breathing in Tau*
Ya the hammer head would make a cool build with like a pull out back piece there is a bit of space in em
Holy gork, I know how to carry my morka/gorkanaut bits 😂
And maybe a Trai for some arms of the boys 😅
There ya go! Magnetizing is great storage of the bits sucked until I came up with this
Is this the new kit with both turrets?
This was done before those came out so there are 2 versions as that’s how they were sold
great stuff. have 4 Russ to do. Can we email you for the STL of the plate? thanks
Yep email me and I’ll send em to ya
@@OchoMiniatures done :)
Where did you get the insert you mentioned in your video?
I designed it myself and had a friend 3d print it
@@OchoMiniatures do you have the file available anywhere?
@@mustardchips7419 if you email me I’ll send them to you
I'm really interested in the 3d printed tray. Can you share the design so I can print it too?
If you want all the files you can join my patreon but if ya just want this one you are going to have to email me I can’t share files on UA-cam
