Wow, I thought I was the only one that made a video about these things? They used to make a clunking noise on my truck. It drove me crazy.
Just did the same thing to muh K2500, drove me crazy LOL! Best to you an rusty guy.
Glad I seen this. I wondered what this noise was and never could find it.
awesome video thank you I got an 07 Dodge ram 1500 four-wheel drive and there's squeaking as I'm going down the road to my house do you think it could be from this?
This is more of a clunking or click noise. Not a squeak. If you look at your isolators and they are worn it won't hurt to replace them. When I hear a squeak I think of U-joints.
5 years ago I put water bottle in between leaf springs staring to hear it again , found some leaf spring anti squeak pads 12 for 20 bucks. For my 1990 Silverado
I have the same thing happened on my Transit 350 HD. Dealership said it’s $45 for the part.
Touch of lithium grease on these won’t hurt and helps.
Gawt danget! Thank you! It’s midnight and I’m trying to get down to the noise.
I appreciate the video but try and get to the point lol.
If you think yours were bad....you should see the lack of mine after 272 000miles. But I have something crazy coming up on the channel to solve the issue.
I have a feeling the springs held a heavy camper many times.
It's super quiet over bumps now.
@@mossman381 many times? I'd say so. Truck started life as a commercial 5th wheel hauler :p I think I only have 1 isolator left and it's mangled. I think I'll try some new isolators, see what it does to the my clanking.
Not sure it was a camper hauler. Most of those that I see are dually trucks but I guess you never know. The 2wd is odd but I am pretty sure the truck was bought in Arizona. 2wd might me more common down there.
@@mossman381 I meant my own truck I reprayed on my channel. It was a hauler. 2wd is hell for hauling campers. Can't back up slope at camping grounds, or hydrolic tongue on trailers messing with you lol. Interesting to see your truck has a different leaf setup. Mine has upper and lower overloads, beefy top units too. But then again, it's a heavier truck.
Can I pick your brain for a minute? Do you have an email address I have a serious problem/question to ask you
If you go to my about me page you will find my email.
mossman381 not trying to be a jerk there isn’t a email address listed

What are those clips called that hold thr leaf springs from shifting?
I think you are talking about the leaf spring clamps.
@@mossman381 I brought my truck in for an inspection and those were broken and it failed inspection because of it. Is there a way to fix that?
You can buy new clamps and install them.
Will these work for squeaky bed?
