Hey, pretty sure this is the video I made with my brother and cousin. Yes, it was only 3 of us, everytime we pause was to stick some tape on the B button because we were getting tired. The potato quality is because we recorded on a VCR and then sent the video to a family member who was friends with the OP. Hope this explains all the weird quirks of this video lol
It's like the Smash Bros. version of satanic rituals. Peach, two Foxes and Falco gather on Temple, work their dark magic and release a mighty unholy demon.
This brings back memories. Great memories. I remember doing it with Ness and the Ice Climbers instead of the Foxes. I also broke the Black Hole. Such a great time.
This was the first video I saved to a playlist back in 06! It's still saved in that playlist as the only surviving video left. Referenced it many times attempting to recreate it ourselves. It will be a sad day when it's no longer available (hopefully that day never comes. Atleast make it 5 more years to hit 20 years old!)
Yes it really does work. My friends and I did this. It took us about an hour or so of painstaking video viewing to make sure we got it right. IIRC the lives don't matter but you have to set up 2 teams so the player shooting doesn't hit the first guy with the shield. It's really not that hard to figure out if you put the time into it. And it makes for a rather cool level obstacle to avoid.
Depends on which part of the video you're watching. When Peach threw turnips into the 'black hole,' that made them freeze in the air, and whoever hit the 'hole' died, except Peach, which means that when someone died, Peach got the kill. After that, Falco and Fox did the mirage moves, and those moves froze, so, Peach got killed by those moves. Closer to the end, it gets too hard to tell who gets the kill.
+VejyMonsta I have a theory. The Infinite Scope Glitch was easy to find out. Logically they wanted to see how it behaved when two Fowes of different teams faces each other. One of the other players must have touched the trail accidentally and see it caused the projectiles to overlap. Then they must have tried to throw things in it, until Peach's turnips...
I knew vegetable are deadly! Our fear of eating them is justified! Dang, 999% damage! This is crazy! This is before the Steve's blocks and sending them at 999% damage.
That's just crazy. I can't believe that ppl actually are looking around to find these kind of stuff. Even if it isn't yours originally you shall have thanks for uploading it :)
My friends and I were coming home from Virginia with a GameCube hooked up to the dropdown 4x6 TV. We were so sugar high, I'm amazed how close we came to working this.
welcome to cooking with melee, today we're gonna fix up something unheard of, peaches broken le glitchy black hole *applause* step 1: fire multiple lazer ballz step 2, toss in some vegies while your at it step 3: stir em up with shine step 4: wait for couple seconds BAM! bon apatite! FOX:I want some rig-BWAAHH peach: what? too spicy? fox: THIS IS GREAT! GIMME MORE falco: NO YOU HAD YOUR TURN IM NEX-*dies*
It's more fun to do this with ness too. Have him use the super scrope. Then, when you're done throwing turnips, have Ness use iken fire on it. The fire will stay in the dark hole. Some people call this a super nova. Peach will be damaged by the fire but not by the turnips. You can add as many iken fires to it as you want. But the more fires, the more the game will lag (or eventually freeze)
Testers do. Look at 1:35 the system GPU starts to suffer. This is commonly referred to as an exploit/glitch, although it doesn't serve as much of an exploit. I'm quite amazed the game didn't full-on crash at some point.
When Fox/Falco does the speed dash move, they leave behind a blue shadow (which is also a hitbox for players to get caught in) It looks like that hen he did it through the black hole, it stayed there instead of disappearing.
yeh theres a couple brawl glitches... u can get mega jiggly on the bridge stage when the guy blows it up, u gotta use the special.. its fun... theres some hidden things too, like fox and falco w/ special conversations... w. dad too i think
@yourballsareinert this stuff usually happens on accident. but sometimes i guess people think of predicaments where they can find a combinations of moves that seems like it will trigger a glitch.
There was a method that enlarge the Black Hole till the whole level is stuck, but i saw it once and i cant remember how, its was a few years ago. You can fire up the ball with Hike Fire ( Right B ) With Ness, if you do this, the ball will enlarge till its a real black hole.
oh yeah! me and my friends did this once! or... three times actually... the first time we tried, it froze before we got it up 2nd one froze after we jumped in it. 3rd time was good, we finished the fight (while the hole was up) :P i love doing this tho, cool vid, but the whole time we were just throwing the veggies instead of jumping at first -_-" this makes it easier :D
You can do other effects with the black hole: Shiek's Whip (try it out) Ness' (PK Fire) Mewtwo (I believe his Shadow Ball works) One other thing I can't remember :D lol
Oh my fucking god... Now THAT's creativity. BTW I hadn't played SSB for around 1,5 year, and once I saw this video I immediately plugged my GC in and started playing with 3 friends of mine :D
I remember me, my brother, sister, and our childhood pal all sitting around the tv doing this together. It was awesome. And our game crashed too LOLLLL
Must've been a bunch of friends messing around, throwing stupid ideas into a pot, and then something really awesome came out of it all. "I got an infinite super scope, come help me reflect the bullets. Woah, there's a green spot!" "Hey Peach, jump in and see if more pop up!" "Oh shit, now it's ALL green spots!" "I'm gonna throw vegetables at it!" Something like that. One of those days where you mess around with friends, breaking games. :)
This game is so epic. It's too bad that my gamecube barely works anymore and I sold this game. This is easily one of my favorite games of all time, and one that I can play for hours without ever getting bored. I have a Wii now so I'll probably get brawl. Good thing I still have my GC controller.
There was something I did today. I was using Link against Pichu on this stage. I was standing on the very edge of the long platform on the left side, and Pichu jumped up there with me. I threw my boomerang, and started slashing Pichu. Right before the boomerang hit Pichu, Pichu used the move that shoots it like a rocket, but before that could hit Link, the boomerang hit Pichu and caused a HUGE explosion! We both went flying across the stage, it put Pichu's damage from 98 to 173-178!! It was odd!
shoot out 15 shots from the scope like you see him do in the beginning then charge up completely until it shoots on its own then do it again and then charge it a 3rd time but make someone or something hit you while your charging the last time so it cancels it and there ya go infinite scope ammo
Watching this was an integral part of my childhood.
Guarantee this is 1 guy alone playing all 4 players!

@@martinlee1742you sir a legend, I’ll make sure this video is immortalized for years to ckne😊
The thought of someone discovering this glitch almost impresses me more than the glitch itself.
I feel like I just watched some kind of dark ritual. And violated. I also feel violated.
It's like the Smash Bros. version of satanic rituals.
Peach, two Foxes and Falco gather on Temple, work their dark magic and release a mighty unholy demon.
@@NASCARFAN160 And that demon was Dharkon?
I remember my gamecube almost blew up after this.
+ChopzSyndrome Moore my dog almost died
My universe almost exploded.
After this, Peach was banned for illegal use of turnips.
This brings back memories. Great memories. I remember doing it with Ness and the Ice Climbers instead of the Foxes. I also broke the Black Hole. Such a great time.
How come every time i try it the turnips fly away? o.o
***** you need to throw 15 turnips minumum into the stream for it to stick
So we meet again 240p.
Can't expect much from a video from early 2006.
Old, lame joke, we meet again.
Seriously, look at the date of the video.
I made my gamecube crash so many times doing this with my friends; those were the good old days
This was the first video I ever watched on UA-cam
Really? Whoa lol
NightOwl 夜梟 yep. right around when the e3 trailer dropped I believe
This is literally the only way to kill people on this level.
Can't wait till UA-cam recommends this to everyone in 4 years
Same
4 years later got recommended to me lol
I just searched it lol. Also damn... 18 years ago..
This is what would presumably happen if someone were to divide by zero.
This was a different world than today. Pure nostalgia
This seems like something from a Final Smash. Can you imagine creating this but 10x bigger?
Looks really cool with both Fox and Falco's illusion move on each side :)
This was the first UA-cam video I ever saw back in 2006!

It's like an ultimate team attack.
I was suddenly reminded of this video. Classic
And that's how the Subspace portal was created and the Subspace Emissary story was made.
And Subspace bombs
when the beam is being built up it reminds me of that movie 'Contact' with Jodie Foster..."Okay to go! Okay to go!!"
Movie was awesome when I was a kid.
Damn! This video is 15 years old!
Yeah a very long time ago
That is awesome! Another fun thing to do is have Ness in the mix and throw either a PK fire or PK flash into the black hole :D
I remember doing this back in the day with my cousins. Good times, melee’s the best!
One of my favorite things to do is make Ness the optional character and have him use his side-B to light up the black hole real nice
And they said black holes were recorded in 2019...
Dude this glitch id awesome. Congrats on finding it.
14 years later and I’m back.

Watching this video bring back some memories.
no way this video looked this shitty back in the day, there had to have been some sort of decay over these years, that's such a shame...

man great memories of this game, looks like it's time to break out the gamecube again.
I'd love to try this, but sadly my SSBM disk is in bad shape and completely unplayable...

This is was my favorite arena to fight and the music is pure awesomeness!!
Someone better tell Mario to stay away from Peach's black hole.

I was still in high school when this video came out. Im almoat 37 now.
Wow the game actually thinks Falco is still there cause of his Phantasm lol...3:38 cause the crowd was cheering him.
You'd think this video would have had more views for being this integlar to my nostalgia
love this game wish i still had it
i dont know if that was a glitch or just pure awesomeness because i have had that game for three years and i have never seen that in my life
fox's after image remained.. cool
Bowser’s turnips are insane too
I remember watching this years ago trying to recreate it in my bed room in front of a small CRT
This is the biggest, best, coolest glitch ever found on SSBM.
This video is over 15 years old. That feels so weird to say.
Lol. Taking turns for getting beaten up by spining turnips...this has made my day.
When Fox/Falco does the speed dash move, they leave behind a blue shadow (which is also a hitbox for players to get caught in)
It looks like that hen he did it through the black hole, it stayed there instead of disappearing.
love the music for this stage. i remembr seeing other videos of this where the ball had a red aurora

OMG
that was about the best SSBM black hole i have ever seen. great job.
5/5
Wow it's shocking that it's 11 years ago. Times have certainly changed lol
It's funny to see Falco's Phantasms still in the picture while Falco is defeated :)
@yourballsareinert this stuff usually happens on accident. but sometimes i guess people think of predicaments where they can find a combinations of moves that seems like it will trigger a glitch.
Fear the wrath of the TURNIPS !
@headbanger90047 well, the smart bomb is a bit similar, it traps the opponent, doing tons of damage, and the sends them flying.
Agree. There was a great feeling in melee that i cant feel in brawl. I WANT THAT FEELING BACK!

I like how your shadows from the dash attack are still there after you die...
I feel like I should say to put your item frequency to very low. I tried that today and it fixed the lag pretty well.
a poor gamecube was over heated that day :(
That was probably the coolest cheat i've ever seen. In my life. So far.
Falco:Tear dat ass up
Fox:Do AWESOME!!!
Fox#2:would not want to jump up in a fight with me
Peach:ha sike!!!
I love this glitch. Have yet to try it. I don't even know if I can. ;)
Aw, normal things that happen in Hyrule Castle from time to time... xD
Awesome :D
This was hella fun to do. I remeber doing this like 2 years ago. I
I love the blue trails left behind by fox and falco^^
That...is...vicious. That...is...beautiful!!!

"Alright, which wise-ass threw a bunch of turnips into the Large Hadron Collider?"
