I knew many ppl already predicted correctly about the Katakuri's falling reason when the fight just finished in the manga, so you thought it is fine to talk about that before episode 877. However, when a up-to-date fan who has already seen the ending talks about "the previous theory" to a reactor who has not yet caught up, this is not just a theory but a confirmation of the theory. It is definitely a spoiler.

thats what im talking about, its kinda irritates for some reason... i also got spoiled for a certain manga chapters in OP and i was super pissed about it even to my own friends, i mean like "hey if you've read it already, then shut it up for your own sakes" also the spoiler about Avengers endgame, i was super pissed that some of my friends were telling me the major spoiler in endgame, and the reaction that i was given is just walked away.. i understand the situation that hibou mentioned it on the video, yea those who spoils the story should be banned for sure

I mean they've hinted at reverie actually happening multiple times (even had an episode showing Vivi getting on a ship for it). The only thing the intro does is tell us that the reverie arc is actually happening now.
But during the first time we have seen this opening there were teasers about freaking Snake Man and Sulong (plus Chopper vs Big Mom, I add that scene cause I expected something with more hype). Teasers about new episodes are "smaller".
Could be amazing see his reaction about those four immediately..don't you think so?

This whole topic on who won the Luffy vs Katakuri fight has been going on since it happened in the manga lol. You have camps on both sides and alot of people who thought it was a draw. Personally I feel it boils down to what you really wanna define as a 'win'. If you define it as:
- who managed to leave at the end: Luffy won
- who was the first to go down/ unconscious after the final blows: Katakuri won
- who was the first to get up after the final blows: Luffy won
- who was the first to run (to recover strength): Katakuri won
- who landed more hits: Katakuri won
- who tanked more hits: Luffy won
- who managed to change the other's mentality and gain their respect: Luffy won
- what Luffy and the newspapers say after the battle: Luffy won
- who was objectively stronger: probably Katakuri but maybe a draw as well
- and this list can go on forever
At the end of the day who won the battle isn't the most important thing. It's the fact that these 2 rivals fought and respected each other and both changed for the better (Luffy in his observation haki, Katakuri in his personality/ complex about his mouth/ independence from big mom). I kinda like to believe they both won, but that's just me.

Whole Cake Island is not only the best arc post timeskip it's one of the best arcs in the entire series.
Edit: Also people in the comment section in general need to stop talking about the next arc when he just finished this arc. Also not everyone remember everything that happened in one piece not everyone is a hardcore fan. Hibou didn't even remember who lola was and needed a flashback to remember her. So he probably needs a reminder of who these characters are.

lmao it served the best fight post timeskip, but Mama's long ass WEEEEDINGGGG CAAAKEEEE definitely dragged down the quality for me. 3rd after Reverie (God Tier, shortest arc) and Dressrosa.
Hibou, the song that played when Big Mom was eating the cake is called "Bad End Musical", same name of the chapter 900 and volume 89.
This chapter shows how strong a Yonkou is. Big Mom did not even needed to be there to destroy them and of course, Oda needed to nerf her a lot, while she was chasing them.
If was not by Bege, the Firetank Pirates, Germa 66, Jinbe and the Fishmen Pirates and the others who sacrificed themselves, Pedro, Pound and Pekoms, never Luffy and the others would have escaped.
Without mentioning the coincidence that was the explosives inside the Tamate Box, which was set up since the Fishman Island.
Queen Mama Chanter, Big Mom's ship, was blocking their passage and all those cannonballs would have destroyed the Sunny without Wadatsumi's help.
This is one of the few arcs, Luffy did not defeat the main villain, like happened with Magellan on Impel Down!! Luffy still not ready to defeat alone the Yonkou.
Luffy got so many plot armour and nakama power in this arc that made me so pissed off, this is the worst arc for me. Believe me if luffy not the main character he would die even in tea party
They underestimated Luffy's crew so much. Even when they think to have destroyed their ship with the Chanter. And that's why they are able to escape. I understand why some people didn't like this arc, and it's obvious that without Tamate box they would have been killed during Tea Party. But there are also many great scenes. The Musicals are something legendary in my opinion, I loved so much Mama's intro and the Bad End.
By the way there are a few things I didn't appreciate..if Luffy would have come with all his crewmates, it seems like it would have been soooo easy to escape from Tottoland.
P.S. Oven CANNOT BE at the same level of Aladdin! And Daifuku looks like a fu*king tard sometimes. If Sulong is so OP I have to bet on Nekomamushi for the one who will kill Kaido 😂😂

Like you said, I also loved this arc, the musicals were the best imo, but still had a lot of plot holes, like Sanji's shackles being false was a easy way to avoid that.
If Big Mom wanted she still could send some assassin to kill Zeff. Kingbaum not obeying Big Mom and still obeying Nami.
Luffy winning against Katakuri (I love their fight, the best one so far, but imo makes no sense Luffy's victory considering all the damage he took AND Oda needing to add Brulee and Flampe to help him, even if indirectly).
@@kirishimaeijirou4059 On Kingbaum and Zeff you're completely right, the only "possible" reason why King Baum chooses to help the Straw Hats over obeying Mama could derive from Amande's wound. After that he maybe prefers to help Nami and company for a kind of revenge.
While about Luffy vs Katakuri I agree with you but not 100%. In every fight Luffy bets on his stamina, and here as well. Katakuri uses an incredible amount of mochi. Mochi is a special type of Paramecia, it also presents invulnerability of Rogia types, so Katakuri has to use his fruit power even during defense, combined with haki. And that combo probably requires big amounts of energy. He even skipped his "merienda"..donuts let him regain stamina and strength and mochi needs sugar to be composed and then used. Moreover he wounded himself the same way he did to Luffy.
Btw I read somewhere that in manga Katakuri doesn't destroy Luffy so bad during their fight, anime just shown it with too difference in strength.
I'm just sharing my thoughts anyways, I respect your opinions and consider'em really valids :)

The anime added more scenes to the fight, that don't have in the manga, but I think in both Luffy took the same amount of damage. The biggest problem I have with the fight, besides Brulee dumbness and Flampe surging out of nowhere, was the spear attack on Luffy's belly.
Luffy said on Fishmen Island, that his haki is not good for blocking piercing attacks (against Hody). There Luffy pass out quickly for blood loss, and that just happened because all of the story between the fishmen and the humans, ended up with Jinbe sharing his blood with Luffy.
But, here against Katakuri, he got an injury even worse, losing blood and still keep fighting, even after all the damage he took before. I know his endurance is high (not higher than Doflamingo or Whitebeard), but to me he should have lose conscience moments after that attack.
A proof to that is all the moments he is lying down sleeping, while Katakuri is just standing there watching him. Luffy had too many openings to be killed in this fight. Sorry for ranting so long hehe
Katakuri didn't lose purposefully , most people are bitching because they wanted him to win. In that scene 2:00:00 Brullee asks him "why did you get up, just to fall on your back?" basically. Most thought she meant "why did you let him win" and that's not what she said nor what she meant. She was asking why would Katakuri make the effort of getting up (after being beaten) just to fall on his back.
If Katakuri had let Luffy win, he would have fell on his back the first time he touched the ground after the battle, but he fell on the stomach, it doesn't make any sense.
I'm sure people will tell me that Luffy winning the fight doesn't make sense either, but that's not the first time Luffy wins a battle that way, with stamina. That's one of his greatest strengths, in the end, Luffy just had more stamina than Katakuri, just like he did with his previous enemies.

This right here. Thank you. I would add that this fight shouldn't be taken at face value purely as a stamina thing. Luffy had the greater ambition and will, while Katakuri at the end did not, to the point that he started to believe that Luffy coming back to defeat Big Mom to become Pirate King was a possibility, while Luffy stood strong on his ambition, hence he won. Greater will allowed him to get a slight edge over his opponent. No need to overthink it. There is too much of a DBZ power level mentality in the One Piece community nowadays...

King Ice Katakurii asked him if he was coming back which luffy replied of course, Katakuri has nothing to fight for while Luffy has his crew and his life on the line. If Katakuri was in Luffys position he would’ve gotten back up because he has to. The only reason Katakuri got back up was to ask luffy that question.

Before the scene with Katakuri and Brulee, a lot of people said that Katakuri helped Luffy to win, this fight "split" the community in two ^^
Two things:
1 I wouls have enjoyed the change they made with Pekoms sulong if not for one thing: how they treated Sanji. For those who don't read the manga, in it Pekoms didn't had the chance to fully transform into Sulong. Oven just punch him and other BM pirates block him, and then we don't know what happen to him. However as we saw, in the anime Pekoms do transform and even get a sad goodbye. My problem is when he attacked and apparently almost knocked out Sanji. In the manga Oda already treated dirty Sanji to show off Germa, adding more just make me feel bad for him. The rest however I really enjoyed.
2 I know many people are disappointed that next episodes will be full of recaps thus slowing the pacing a lot, but there are 2 good things about:
1 Toei is using this time to prepare Wano arc better. Basically they sacrificed Reverie for Wano.
2 it still isn't bad to a reminder every once in a while. Of course, watching it weekly will ruin the enjoyement, so that's why I recommended Hibou to not do too many episodes at once, in this way by the time he catch up there won't be other recaps.
I mean Sanji had luffy in his hand and was trying to escape, He's not beating oven and the entiriety of the big mom pirates while holding luffy in his hand. YOU CANT FORGET THE PORTRAYAL OF YONKO CREWS. THEY HAVE BEEN HYPED UP SINCE THE BEGINING OF THE STORY. He needed to be saved from the fleet and thats that. Pekoms thing never happened DONT WORRY ABOUT IT. Its filler................... similar thing happens to zoro in wano from a stab....Except its canon lmao.

*Buddy, i must warn you.* The next episodes of this intro when they've left leave Big Moms territory are going to show scenes from the episode!
What ends up happening with the Germa is super interesting if you really read between the lines, because as much as Judge and the Vinsmoke siblings wanna make it SEEM like they don't care about what happens to Sanji, it's all bullshit. They paid off their debt to him for saving them at the wedding by helping escort Caesar and co. away from the castle. They come back for revenge against the Big Mom Pirates, but they go out of their way to help Sanji throughout the finale at every turn. If the Vinsmokes didn't care what happened to him in the chaos like they claim, they wouldn't be forming a wall around him to protect him from bullets, they wouldn't be escorting him to safety, Judge wouldn't be cutting in front of fleets to bombard them before they hit the Sunny. Hell, if they REALLY came back with only revenge in mind, they would've stuck around to cause more havoc instead of retreating the MINUTE Sanji made it out of the territory. Judge's final sendoff with Sanji is the key to it. He goes on and on about Sanji being an emotional weakling, yet it's Sanji's compassion that saved the Vinsmokes at the wedding. He talks about Sanji putting his life on the line for the sake of those weaker than him, yet that's EXACTLY what the Germa are doing at that moment. Judge and his "perfect" children throw the entire Germa kingdom to the wolves to save their "failure". Because even if they're too proud to ever admit it, even to themselves, deep down they've formed a respect for Sanji. It's a perfect ironic end: Sanji is such a good person that he moved his own abusers to put everything on the line and do a genuinely good thing for the first time in their rotten lives.
I don't think so. The reason he helped Sanji till the end is because they don't want to feel indebted to him

I think it was in one of his streams that he mentioned it. I don't quite remember which one though. And he's not like other anime reactors who avoids manga because they don't like reading it. He's read a lot of mangas and I highly doubt he won't start reading One Piece as well...

I find this whole debate on who won the fight between Luffy and Katakuri kind of meaningless. What people don't seem to understand is that luffy improves at an extremely fast rate (I mean, look at how hopeless the situation seemed for luffy when the fight started, compared to how it ended). Katakuri figured this out while fighting him, which is the main reason he gained so much respect for him, and in the end, maybe even let luffy get a slight edge on him. Now in the worst case (according to me), Katakuri was slightly better than Luffy and technically won that fight, and in the better case, it was a draw.
At the end of the day, though, if they were to fight each other again who do you think would win, hands down? Katakuri, who's pretty much reached his prime and probably won't improve too much (if at all) or Luffy, a young pirate, who we all know improves his combat skills at breakneck pace (for those who read the manga, just look at what he can do in Wano rn)?

Hibou, Toei Animation completly changed Pekoms Sulong, he never fully transformed and he never attacked Sanji in the manga, he got destroyed in 3 panels before he could do anything in the manga, the anime added a lot of filler to Pekoms, they even censored his "death" (in the manga, his eyes were gouged out, in the anime they simply put all the arrows).

I do feel a bit bad, I was one of the ones who brought up Katakuri not losing in the past video. The thing is that most of the fandom was having that discussion right after Katakuri got up and then fell on his back. This was WAY before the scene in 877 where it was practically spelled out by Oda. I certainly wasn't trying spoil anything. I was just revisting the debate that was all the rage the second Katakuri got defeated. If we wanted to spoil it we would have actually flat out told you that Katakuri's sister confirms later that he purposely fell on his back.

I don't know why but I always thought that Judge saw himself in Sanji, which is why he hates himself. Judge is a failure cause he failed to take over the north blue, failed to ally himself with big mom, and showed emotion because he was betrayed. All the things he hates he is, and Sanji Fails all those things for him.
