Nice interview Les. This stuff really helps us "mid fleet" sailors get better. Any chance you can tell us where we can buy that rotating tiller extension gadget?
Thank you!! The Joint is a JCD Universal Swivel… It is on the higher end of costs compared to non swivel universals. Heres a link- www.velasailingsupply.com/jcd-universal/?sku=JCD001&gclid=CjwKCAjw5NqVBhAjEiwAeCa97aDRk7FZgaqwOsrKJk-psB1YCN0cASr86zpOcezJmF6D9-wBfrsOcRoCcDAQAvD_BwE
Interesting comment about vang tension - he uses a TON!! How about a video on how to reinforce the deck fairlead (probably with a metal plate under the deck)? Also, is the fairlead with the SS insert now class-legal?
Thanks John…. Ill see what i can come I can come up with for that fairlead reinforcement. As far as the SS. InSert being class legal…. I dont think it is technically class legal as i dont think the builder ever supplied the tne with a boat. I also never saw anyone protest someone for it…. But theres always a first time. I believe it doesnt make anyone faster, but can keep you on the water in the other event the plastic one breaks. I dont think people should be punished for that particular upgrade. But by the letter of the law it is illegal from what i can recall. :/.
I don't recall seeing a better interview - good job Lee. I need to do some homework and watch this a couple more times. Thanks!!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Great coverage of top sailors.
Thanks for the time PJ and Lee.
Thank you!
Fantastic interview! Such talent and knowledge!
Thank you. :)

Yes. Would say about 17…
