Coming back from season 2, did anyone else notice how the guy, who Barry is supposed to kill, knocks the table while chanting "Barry Berkman" the same way the soldiers did after Barry's first kill?
Yeah it's shockingly and unexpectedly creepy. It was like a jump scare but only if you were familiar with why. Writer/Editors playing with that taste of PTSD
2:30 ... The moment/scene I remember most from the show and the point when on first viewing I knew I was going to love the show. That track rising to dominate the audio, the song just fits, his look to her, her even more emotive look to him as she dances and entices him, then the abrupt table banging interruption that snaps you out of it and let's you know this show isn't going to do things the normal way. ❤️ it all 👌👏
That moment when Barry watches her dancing is perfect I remember myself looking at my crush daydreaming about her the same way... until someone breaks that moment
2:42 is sick because she actually had to be dancing to a quicker beat that was specifically chosen so that in post they could add a slight slo mo effect while still having her dance to the beat of the diegetic music
2:23 Very few times does a movie actually portray love in a way that feels like they plucked it right out of my brain and put it onto a screen. That is EXACTLY how it feels to fall for someone.
You know what could possibly make this super dark? What if he imagined her looking at him like that because he was infatuated with her? Because of how messed up the war left him.
I think The Grand Budapest Hotel does it very well too in the scene where Zero and Agatha were on the Carousel and you get the perspective of him staring at Agatha while the muted music and carousel lights are in a bokeh in the background.
This show has grown in such a phenomenal way. After seeing Season 3 and coming back to this, it's amazing how we as the audience are forced to see these idealized versions of each character before we know too much about their true nature. Just like how we idealize a partner we're with before we get to know them completely, or how Barry and Sally idealize each other. But knowing what we know now, the warning signs were always there.
I love the song chosen, and the lyrics specifically during this moment: You think I'm livin' it, livin' it, livin' it, livin' it up In the spotlight You think I'm livin' it, livin' it, livin' it, livin' it up It's a lie, lie What a beautiful show this was, from beginning to end.

This scene, at least to me, always felt like it perfectly shows what it feels like to realize you truly like someone, it’s a feeling you can never explain to it’s fullest extent but can always recall the feeling and moment
If these two get married at all, they will have quite a story to tell their kids. That is,if Sally ever finds out and still insists on being in a relationship with him.
I find it funny asf the way Barry’s face slowly changes from happy to like “oh i forgot you were here” as soon as Ryan started chanting “Barry Berkman” 😂
2:24-2:53 Watching her dance with that great song, I knew right away I would love this show, Bill Hader absolutely kills it in this show. No pun intended.
That shot of Sally dancing with the coloring and music was what hooked me to the show. I can’t put it into words but it made me feel so euphoric. I knew than and there I was gonna fall in love with this show.
I watch this scene 100x a year the way he looks at her so longingly while knowing at his core he could never have the life that she embodies to him. One of the most underrated scenes in this entire immaculate show.
"I have a job. Sales. Autoparts." Queue the flashing red and blue lights of an EMT. The same flashing lights that don't seem to touch Sally either. I swear, if this was desaturated it would be noir.
Okay I’ve been absolutely obsessing over Bill and I will continue to but wow Sarah really got me good in this scene like how can someone look that attractive while bumping to this absolute bop
I am no expert., however, Sally, at first average sweet regular American Girl. If the director was attempting make the audience aware that Barry fell in love with Sally... the moment she stepped up onto the dance floor? Then he is at the top of his game... By slowing her down and increasing the volume of some cool tune I have never heard before, any human being that digs women also fell for Sally at that moment. Metamorphosis: average pretty girl to heartbreaking goddess. Well done sir. Well done
It's hard to watch this scene after seeing what Sally's life became with Barry by the end of the series. For all her self-centered traits, she was talented, bright, bubbly, and could have been a real star - even Gene admitted that she was the only promising student in his class. Instead, a miserable life hiding from even the faintest spotlight.
You can see the Duality nature of Sally in the dance. One is seemingly friendly, possibly even welcoming. The other is a very manipulative person, who uses fake sympathy and irrational emotions to get what she wants. No matter who it is in her life, she would gladly sail anyone down the river just to further her career.
2:52 the Richard Krempf / Ryan Madison actor was super chill, wish he would have been on for longer in the series. great acting, seemed to come so natural to him.
The sad thing is sally said she never wanted to be with a violent man again and now shes with barry she has no idea who barry really is. Reminds me of the relationship between Rita and Dexter in Dexter
Why did they have to kill off the Ryan Madison character so early.. the actor was one of the really memorable/good ones. Unlike the “friends” who gets more screen time I mean they are good, but not as good as the Ryan character 2:56
I didn't think about this the first time I watched it but after getting all the way to season 3 has anybody else thought about how Barry might have actually imagine that Sally was looking at him like that while dancing? It kind of reminds me of how in joker he had imagined the whole relationship with that girl in his mind!
I think it’s funny I didn’t notice he’s like still fresh from doing hits and the army he looks really nervous and captured the mentality well of that uncomfortable space
Coming back from season 2, did anyone else notice how the guy, who Barry is supposed to kill, knocks the table while chanting "Barry Berkman" the same way the soldiers did after Barry's first kill?
I noticed that when I was rewatching season 1. I freaked out a little. 🙃
@@51HorseLover I just noticed it while watching this video, wow!
dude what the fuck! O.O
Yeah it's shockingly and unexpectedly creepy. It was like a jump scare but only if you were familiar with why. Writer/Editors playing with that taste of PTSD
Knowing Alec Berg and Bill Hader, that probably wasn’t intended
this is my favourite scene, my favourite moment in the whole show, when he looks at her and he makes that smile... it's perfect
No it’s her smile that makes it more for them both
Such a great shot between the two.
2:30 ... The moment/scene I remember most from the show and the point when on first viewing I knew I was going to love the show.

❤️ it all 👌👏
Same.
Sally’s fucking insufferable
That moment when Barry watches her dancing is perfect
I remember myself looking at my crush daydreaming about her the same way... until someone breaks that moment
2:42 is sick because she actually had to be dancing to a quicker beat that was specifically chosen so that in post they could add a slight slo mo effect while still having her dance to the beat of the diegetic music
maybe they made her dance to the sped up version?
@Blablabla yeah and she just acted the slow-mo physics too.
This is how they filmed the video for "Slow Hands" by Interpol.
"sorry for snapping at you back there, I didn't realize you were an actor."
that had me on the floor. There is so much L.A. packed into that one line.
Basically, “I’m only sorry because you might help me further my own career”
2:23
Very few times does a movie actually portray love in a way that feels like they plucked it right out of my brain and put it onto a screen. That is EXACTLY how it feels to fall for someone.
Like every move they make is in high definition because of how focused you are on their every detail.
Youth in revolt takes the cake
I live that moment right now with a girl I met a few days ago.
1:58 I love how the moment he lies about his job, the lights shine on his face that look suspiciously like the police 😩
Good catch!
GREAT catch!
Lol, Natalie muttering quietly "I don't have a job"
She's such a hilarious character. D'Arcy Carden is a revelation.

my brother James right here with the most important comment in this section.
I love the song chosen, and the lyrics specifically during this moment:
You think I'm livin' it, livin' it, livin' it, livin' it up
In the spotlight
You think I'm livin' it, livin' it, livin' it, livin' it up
It's a lie, lie
What a beautiful show this was, from beginning to end.
Had to revisit this scene after finishing this incredible show
Oh my! Sally's slo-mo dance, eyes and smile made this show an instant hit with me. Perfect song to pair with the scene.
I wanna join an acting class like this
Me too and meet a girl like sally
I was involved with a improv class like this.
drama students are always physically affectionate and game to fool around lol

And to think, having eye contact with Barry made her life go into a tailspin.
His face
ana ́ so handsome
@@djmustard2591 yeeesss
I had the same face when watching it
This scene, at least to me, always felt like it perfectly shows what it feels like to realize you truly like someone, it’s a feeling you can never explain to it’s fullest extent but can always recall the feeling and moment
Really? I've liked a lot of girls but never seen them dance in slow motion while I watched tbh
I love how of all the people that are at the table he asks "oh are you from LA ?" to the one person that has an english accent LMAO
Wtf hes so handsome
When Barry Met Sally
If these two get married at all, they will have quite a story to tell their kids. That is,if Sally ever finds out and still insists on being in a relationship with him.
One of the best scenes in all of television
I know everyone else is fangirling over this scene but I couldn't get passed how vapid and shallow everyone at that table was.
I think that’s kind of the point
tbh, in season sally was pretty much the same when barry had a fight with her. i liked her before that. I hope she is better in season 2.
LA moment
I find it funny asf the way Barry’s face slowly changes from happy to like “oh i forgot you were here” as soon as Ryan started chanting “Barry Berkman” 😂
2:24-2:53

2:39 kinda heartbreaking, knowing what they become in the last season. They looked so happy.
The direction this show went was wild, but i loved every second of it
I know this is one of the least important parts of the scene, but the impression at 0:20 is genuinely good.
I like how the scene is slo mo and she is bouncing to the rhythm of the song that part is amazing! 😁
One of my favorite scenes 2:26
I watch this scene 100x a year the way he looks at her so longingly while knowing at his core he could never have the life that she embodies to him. One of the most underrated scenes in this entire immaculate show.
I haven't seen this show but this scene from 2:40 to 2:50 makes me feel something
Feels like butterflys in your whole upper body?
Nick hinted at the theme of this show..."whatever you can bring your truth to..." it is how Barry best acting scenes have best been motivated
This show is giving me *YOU* vibes with some humor
Sally is literally like beck
sally kinda reminds me of beck from You
Lol and Barry reminds me of Joe Goldberg
SpiderPig even though Barry killed a lit of people he is not creepy... but Joe on the other hand 😳
Same. I think its the way they talk.. and smile
Reminds of “You” and “Dexter”
"I have a job. Sales. Autoparts."
Queue the flashing red and blue lights of an EMT. The same flashing lights that don't seem to touch Sally either.
I swear, if this was desaturated it would be noir.
That moment when your realize the light is red and blue like police sirens from the end of the episode
Now i have to watch this show !!!
Okay I’ve been absolutely obsessing over Bill and I will continue to but wow Sarah really got me good in this scene like how can someone look that attractive while bumping to this absolute bop
Just going to leave this here for myself in case I need to watch it 500 more times……….. 2:43-2:52
Too bad she can’t dance lol

I wish he had waited another few seconds before the drunken winner of the bad timing Awards chimed in and ruined my fantasy.
2:43-2:52 This was when I fell in love with Sally.
lol me too brother
It's hard to watch this scene after seeing what Sally's life became with Barry by the end of the series. For all her self-centered traits, she was talented, bright, bubbly, and could have been a real star - even Gene admitted that she was the only promising student in his class. Instead, a miserable life hiding from even the faintest spotlight.
Yes this was the moment that ruined Sally's life. She came into the sights of Barry Birkman and it was all downhill from there.
That song is pure gold.
Great show, happy that this song was featured in it. Made me want to listen again on repeat 😂
I loved the blindside impression bit it’s sharp
The beginning of the end
That look that Barry and Sally had was like almost love at first sight
After watching tonight’s episode, this seems like a fever pitch.
I know right. Fuck.
Jesus christ. Looking at Barry and Ryan KNOWING what happens to him and his dad is just horrifying
Song : journal of ardency by class actress
@2:35 Those two guys dancing lol
:47 he went with that monologue lolll
You can see the Duality nature of Sally in the dance. One is seemingly friendly, possibly even welcoming. The other is a very manipulative person, who uses fake sympathy and irrational emotions to get what she wants. 2:34 is my favorite part
I need to watch the show immediately
You should. It’s even better than it looks.
one of the best scenes , this show is the bomb!
Oh its that robot lady in the good place
Not a robot.
Not a lady.
Not a girl
Fun fact. This song in this scene is from group named "class actress". I don't know I've just founded it interesting.
This was the scene that sold me on Barry and I am so glad the show finished on such a high note literally one of my favorite shows of all time
2:52 the Richard Krempf / Ryan Madison actor was super chill, wish he would have been on for longer in the series. great acting, seemed to come so natural to him.
No pressure you’ll know where to find me mmmm 😋 dang love when she said it
The sad thing is sally said she never wanted to be with a violent man again and now shes with barry she has no idea who barry really is. Reminds me of the relationship between Rita and Dexter in Dexter
Crazy huh both of them even dress the same with the shirt in the first episode of Barry he resembles dexter
Why did they have to kill off the Ryan Madison character so early.. the actor was one of the really memorable/good ones. Unlike the “friends” who gets more screen time I mean they are good, but not as good as the Ryan character 2:56
this song JAMS
hypnotic scene
She said "girlfriend" and i thought she was gay
They totally stole Lydias moment. She was in into it.
Barry watching her dance reminds me of the scene from Layer Cake.
look where we are now...
Bill heard this song & saved it ... it's got to have the most ironic name!!
#Barry #BillHader
This scene is so beautiful!! It reminds me so much of the show "Euphoria"! Its one of my favourite scenes of the 2 seasons
1:01 bill hader got fired when he was working as a PA on K-PAX lmao
The best song for the best Barry scene -Like ever okay!
I didn't think about this the first time I watched it but after getting all the way to season 3 has anybody else thought about how Barry might have actually imagine that Sally was looking at him like that while dancing? It kind of reminds me of how in joker he had imagined the whole relationship with that girl in his mind!
That scene is perfectly.......................................................
Upload the true romance rehearsal with Ryan. I lol'd
I’ll add it to my list. 🙂
I think it’s funny I didn’t notice he’s like still fresh from doing hits and the army he looks really nervous and captured the mentality well of that uncomfortable space
Oh, the "Barry Birkman" chant freaked him out due to flashbacks to his first kill.. I never got that before.
Barry Block
How do you NOT fall in love with Barry or Sally? ,,,, How?
2:53 *Me looking at Bill, DO ANYTHING!!!
that is the cutest damn peck on the cheek
And Barry stopped contract killing, started dating Sally and no one else got hurt!
Barry has his Dexter Shirt on lol
Lidia is me at every party
LMFAO! Unbelievable that actor Bill Hader is sitting there next to a real-life "Stefon." That had to be totally planned by someone on "Barry"!
I miss this version of Sally :(
s1 was so fire and vibes I miss
the lights on Barry's face resemble police lights, feels like foreshadowing after S3
I didnt realize he came up with the explaination to the FBI agent why his name was Barry Block from this scene
She's *too* friendly LOL
Class Actress - Journal of Ardency .
How come we never see Lydia again lol
Lol, Barry's drinking a natural light
i am madly in love with her
They really got the Dexter vibe down!
oh man the barry berckman!!!
2:24 best part
I think we're gonna have a sopranos fan base in 5 6 years lol
I hope that my crush can see me the way barry and sally see each other in 2:40
There’s always a million reasons to not do it
Gotta love the Natty Light...
She looks so fucking gorgeous at 2:43
