@@FreeFloFloss way better. For me the biggest change was keeping my torso pointed down the fall line and rotating my lower body independently. This unlocked a lot of steep techniques and changed my approach from trying to make wide turns across the face to shorter, smaller radius turns down the face. I think a lot of people get used to the former technique on piste because it works ok on perfectly flat faces. What I wasn’t prepared for was slopes that also sloped downwards on the traverse - so when you try to control your speed by traversing, you find yourself actually accelerating!
No Flo, I cant do it, its been a goal of mine for two years, watched videos of skiers doing it but I just need to know what the actual movements are, I'm thinking its ski up the hill, lean back down the hill ski backwards and then turn the ski's so are facing backdown the hill. so wish I could do it.
@@FreeFloFloss yes, I try to have five hours of one to one each holiday. My skiing technique is quite good and definitely improves with every week. I’m a fair intermediate skier but when I’ve ever asked an instructor to spend a couple of hours teaching me the 360, they always brush it off as a gimmick and we carry one with the usual drills, however I disagree with them, surely it’s showing fore and aft balance, skiing backwards, ski edge position, all useful attributes.
@@Mark260165 great 👍 I actually booked flights to loften in April as I have always wanted to go .. fingers crossed 🤞 I would be really interested to see how you get on. Have you booked a lodge and a guided group or are you doing it yourselves?

I love this Flo, because you are telling us what not to do, and how to correct things which is so right way of learning new things. Thank you
Thank you Asha for watching and commenting it all helps 😁
@@FreeFloFloss It’s my pleasure 🤗
Another really informative video Flo. You're clients are all skiing well, must be your teaching.
Thank you for commenting 😁
Damn made a lot of these same mistakes on my first backcountry trip. Fell a lot…luckily it was deep powder and a wide slope without much consequence.
Thanks for watching ..how are you skiing now?
