I think your point on some actors who are just so charismatic that the other actors/characters just don't catch up could relate to Greatest Showman. Zac Efron was just so bleh compared to Hugh Jackman. Angelina Jolie in Maleficent overshadowed every awful actor (which was most of them). Leonardo Di Caprio in What's Up With Gilbert Grape over Jonny Depp. Maryl Streep in almost anything but recently Mama Mia. Rosamund Pike in Wheel of Time (the other actors are so so terrible). Kumail Nanjiani over Dave Butista in Stuber. So the question is, do you try balance all the characters/actors or let the main character (more charismatic better actor) shine? Ooh what about an episode where a minor character/actor completely steals the show?
Now that you have seen the video you will know two things. 1. I was having a bit of a messy week and looked like a ghost because I messed with my setup and nothing worked right. 2. I promised you that your suggestions were going to become videos. In fact I was such a mess that the big notes I had for this video all got ignored. The first one being "Shout out KittyCat as this video was their suggestion"!! I was scheduling a tweet about this very fact but now that you've seen it I'll just say it here: Thanks for the great topic suggestions and brilliant comments :). Now back to this comment, you are spot on that there are so many productions where one actors skill/charisma combo casts an unavoidable shadow over the rest of the cast. I think Meryl Streep and Rosamund Pike are two perfect repeat offenders so to speak. Is there an episode about this? Darn Tootin there is, great idea, expect to see it soon. -Patrick
