It is said Director Sridhar had asked Ilayaraja for rights of this song before the picture release but Ilayaraja said I shall do better songs for you.
This song is an example how a wonderful song could be, not so well picturized.
Had Sridhar got this song he would have done greater justice.

though the movie came in 1979, this song looks fresh even after 42 years. amazing. that is called ilayaraja's orchestration. coming to this QFR rendition, யாரைப் போற்றுவது யாரை விடுவது. அனைவரும் அருமையாக தங்கள் பங்களிப்பை திறம்பட தந்துள்ளனர்.
One of the finest composition from Raja sir. The re-creation is almost to the original. Keep going team.

Bach - BWV 1067 Suite - Badinerie was used directly in the second interlude, Maestro used the same bit in "kaathoram lolakku - Chinna Mappilai' as well. It is a tribute to Bach by Maestro since he is a student of Bach and Baroque music. Wonderful recreation, Janaki and Radhakrishan both nailed it. Karthik's bass is mesmerizing and Shyam's mixing is flawless. I think today's song will be Darling Darling, Pudhiya poovidhu is a possibility but darling darling has the orchestral grandeur.
Thanks for the Bach piece"s name. I was trying to recall the word 'Badinerie' to search for.
Yet another gem from QFR! Amazing performance by both Mr.Radhakrishnan and Janaki mam. As Subha mam mentioned Janaki' s experience is very clear in her first song itself! So perfect! Special sound effects are really amazing! Hats off to QFR for presenting an all time super duper hit of Raja. 👍🙏

This is an excellent composition of Isai Gnani of late 70's. Rathakrishnan and Janaki superb singing. Venkat, Selva, Karthick and Laxman did an excellent job. Siva fascinating editing. Shyam awesome performance, programming and arrangements.
