  • Link To The Club Frontier "How To" Thread www.clubfrontier.org/threads/... There are 2 Methods I Go Over On Shutting Off The Auto Start Stop Feature In My ClubFrontier Thread. This Video is of Method # 2 Which I Like The Most. Method #1 Is Easiest and Takes as Long as It Takes You To Pop The Hood and Disconnect a Connection on The Negative Battery Terminal - It Takes Less Than a Minute. I Go Over Method #1 as Well In The Thread. The Method in This Video (Method # 2) Gives You The Same Results An Auto Start Stop Eliminator Would That Many Vehicles Have Had Made For Them But Nothing Yet For The New Frontier. EDIT - THE ELIMINATOR FOR THE NISSAN X-TRAIL IS PLUG AND PLAY www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09... Check My Other Video I Made Demonstrating The Eliminator

    Thanks for your efforts. A truck should only turn off when its driver turns it off.

    Can confirm! This works. I did it on my 2024 Nissan Frontier SV and it works perfectly.

    Nice 👍 Always glad to see someone see the light and permanently disable this A.S.S. feature 😎 👍
    I assume no codes are thrown as well?

      Thanks for watching. Nah no codes. Its just a switch and a switch just makes a connection of 2 wires. IN this case pressing a button is what makes the connection of the 2 wires. I just bypassed the button is all and the connection is always made. It's a hands off button free connection now

    Nice. Who would've thought it would be that simple! I was really disappointed to learn that Nissan added this "feature". If it's this simple to defeat, then that is awesome. I don't understand why they don't simply make it remember the last setting instead of defaulting to always on. I don't know anyone who likes auto start stop.

      The Eliminator does just what you say. It remembers. What i don't like about it is that it runs through your ECU and its powered by a 10Amp fuse, I changed this to a 2AMP and that is still WAAAAY To much but it does work. Check the link in the description to my ClubFrontier thread. There's 3 ways to disable it. I got the Shop Manual the Nissan Techs use and figured it all out via the shop manual wiring diagrams. Again, link is in the description.

      We rented a Chevrolet that remembered the last setting- why can’t they all do that? Because they don’t want you making decisions for yourself. So thankful for this video. Thanks @chancey1979

    If you ran a wire from terminal 5 & 7 to a simple on/off switch wouldn't you have control the way it should have been from the factory to begin with?

    • @chancey1979
      @chancey1979  3 місяці тому

      Yeah, basically what you're talking about is what the Eliminator does. It Remembers your last selection - On or Off with a powered memory chip inside. If you added an On/Off Switch you'd just be manually setting it up to either be On or Off the next time you turn it on or even while you're driving but an On/Off switch allows you to turn Auto Start Stop ON if you wanted too. The 3 ways i go over are all just to disable it except for he Eliminator which i think is great and would just use the eliminator if the switch wasn't run through the ECU but then again i totally deleted the button, got a '22 bezel and don't have the switch at all anymore. Turns out all you have to do to disable A.S.S. is to jumper pins 5 and 7. The button is not required. So behind my dash is the A.S.S. harness with a jumper wire in it and button taken out with '22 bezel

    Boy, thanks for the info. Pushing the button to turn it off was to difficult.😅

      You're a liar if you say you remember to do that everytime.

    We can all thank our Government and EPA for this bullshit. Same with some vehicles having 2 or 4 cylinders shut down at cruise speed. LOL.

      Yeah, The EPA - couldn't agree more

    I just unplugged the harness next to the negative battery terminal. My auto start/stop does blink. I don’t even notice it anymore. I may have to try this.

    • @chancey1979
      @chancey1979  5 місяців тому +1

      Yep, thats one way to do it too - the blinking light didn't bother me as its grey and blends in with all the other lights. Thats was the first way i found. There's 2 other ways as well. Link to ClubFrontier thread in the description. I go over all of it. I got the Nissan Shop Manual the Techs use and figured it all out.

    HERE's THE UPDATED VIDEO FOR THE ELIMINATOR - IT GOT IT WORKING: ua-cam.com/video/QAUpauAVq6I/v-deo.html

    It disables the feature permanently. For $80-100 you may get an adapter that remembers the last state of the button. Then you will be able to use the button again, if you get stuck in a traffic jam.

      4d Tech eliminator works fine.

      Of course disables permanently - thats the point. Have yet to see anyone without the A.S.S. option asking how they can add it. - It's hated. My 2024 Hyundai doesn't even have it. Anyways, Already went Eliminator Route which can be bought on AMazon for $15 - even have a video on it. I've done it all and figured out all ways to disable it with the NIssan Service Manual - THOROUGHLY. Check the link to ClubFrontier for the link in the description. - Here's the link tho - AND theirs also a copy of the Nissan Wiring Diagrams from THe Nissan Service manual so download your copy for free. Again, I've Been THOROUGH: www.clubfrontier.org/posts/4127389/

      @@igoranisimov6549 I"ll give credit where it's due. At least the eliminator you posted doesn't have a power wire to power the chip like the $15 ones on AMazon. Regardless, the Jumper method takes the EXACT amount of time to install. Also, i've yet to find anywhere that someone is asking how to install the A.S.S. option on their non equiped vehicle. My 2024 Hyundai thankfully doesn't even have the option. IN the the description there's a link to my ClubFrontier thread. I've THROUGHLY gone over ALL ways - there are MULTIPLE WAYS to disable the feature with the Official Nissan Factory Manual. This is just one video from a thread with tons of info. Btw you must live somewhere cool bc here in Texas that A.S.S. feature is hot garbage. AC MUST stay on at all times. I'll just post the CF Link here. In the 1st post i've uploaded the COMPLETE wiring schematics for all 3rd Gens so get your OFFICIAL free copy - ENJOY: www.clubfrontier.org/threads/auto-start-stop-a-s-s-deleted.387547/
