Hi again! In your opinion, which atoll should we go for the most pristine sea/beach? as you mentioned the waters at Maafushi is quite murky.
We don't think it's an atoll issue. and not sure if Maafushi water is always like that. When we took a boat day tour within the atoll, the water was crystal clear. If you are looking for a local island, consider Dhigurah. ua-cam.com/video/MCGuaxFUP40/v-deo.html

They do accept cards
Both, We always advise having cash on "Local islands" and never on Resort islands. But some restaurants ONLY accept cash while others do both. so why risk it. Just get some cash. Hope this helps.

Shark is actually called “Miyaru”.
As for the name of the island - Maa, meaning “Big” and Fushi, meaning “Island”. Hence the name Maafushi.
