Dude look amazing first half, and then settled back into what he’s been for the 2nd half… still not convinced. Seems like a great human being, but qb play leaves much to be desired
@@SteveKilgore27 I guess you didn't notice the Oline being serviceable in the first half and struggling hard in the second. There is a correlation to Leonard's play there, unsurprisingly. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
@coachhumph5524 I'm not taking anything away from the rest of the team. But Xavier Watts was all over the place in crunch time situations. He had an interception that he ran back to the 35. I understand the dude dropped the balk, but he still made a key return that is more key than everyone thinks. He also contributed to three 4th down stops. One of them was 4'th and inches in the reddzone before the half, a second was when he hit the QB causing an incomplete pass, and of course, the one pass break up he had in the end. He saved the team.
I love Riley Leonard as a person, and as a good Christian man, however, he still has a lot of improvement to make as far as qb play goes. Same with our WRs… this team is not playoff caliber at the moment… or at least, not good enough to win a single playoff game.
@@lukekirkwood6859 bruh… you can’t say “name EIGHT” and then prohibit me from mentioning 4 top teams haha… I think ND can make the playoffs; however, given our 1 loss, if we make them, we are gonna be like 10th or 9th seed and have to play a team like Tennessee, Oregon or Mizzou at that school. I think we can make the playoffs, but with our seeding, we will not win a game. If we didn’t lose to NIU, I think we would be 5th seed and easily make it to final 4 (beating the G5 champ and the Big12 champ) but we did lose, so the seeding is gonna screw us even if we win out.

@SteveKilgore27 if ND can get healthy and win out they can still be a 5 or 6 seed. Teams in front of them will lose games yet
With the Oline RL is the inly option. At least 3 sacks avoided and accounted for 3 TD. RL was getting hit in the quick passing game because the left side of the OL struggles so bad. Before today’s game Knapp and Pendleton were graded in PFF with grades of 30.1 and 50.7 respectively. That is out of 100. I was against bringing in RL this year. But when they did this was the offense I expected. And this was the play I saw from RL at Duke
Yeah, the oline was having trouble with their Dline. Riley was under duress quite a bit. He's getting more comfortable. Should have been 19-23 if not for 2 drops that were on the money.
I swear some these reporters kill me! To ask Jaden Greathouse to go into detail of the play on his touchdown catch, seriously! That's a question to ask the coaches. If I was Mr. Greathouse I would of given a short and sweet answer, _"I ran a good route while Collins clear it out with his great running tree, all credit to Bo."_
Riley gaining confidence is dangerous for defenses. Can’t wait to see what we have against Stanford.

Love thee. Congratulations boys. U needed it, u got it.
Heal up, get coached up and dominate
Drake Bowen played like a man today. Irish ☘️
So happy to have Xavier Watts back this year. He was a difference maker in this game
Good WIN!! Now rest up,heal up, and tighten up. Come back ready to play tough and win out.
Go Irish 🏈🍀🍀🍀🍀
🎉 congratulations 🍾
Great win, boys!!! Please stay focused on Stanford and getting better going into the bye week and focus avoid the noise!! Go Irish ☘️
GO IRISH🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good W!!! RL getting better command of things. Tough, skilled 2024 Stanford team up next don't be fooled.
Xavier Watts won that game.
Notre Dame won that game....but way to make it about the individual you'd make an awesome coach.

It honestly bothers me that a majority of the players call Coach Freeman “Marcus”

Well name me 8 other teams other than UGA BAMA UT and OSU that are that much better than ND lol

Make no doubt about it. The defense won this game, not the offense.
I didn’t see great passing. I saw Leonard hit a wide open guy and a screen pass and a few okay rollouts. Leonard is still a glaring weak spot.

I’m hoping it’s a combination of the beat of line and him not playing with them much. And his receivers are nothing special.
Defense defense! Sorry Leonard is not the guy .I wish he was....
What did he do today for you to say that? He played great. Get out of here man it’s olds

Teach these boys to listen to questions and answer them... the inability of these boys to speak clearly and coherently is pathetic.
Leonard is absolute garbage
