- Enjoy the hour of improv with Keyscape. Relaxing and chill, most of the time. Also trying out my new Korg D1.

Imagine being able to just sit down and play like that for an hour...
A dream come true
Hahaha. It makes you hate a lot of things, because I'd rather just go play piano.
@@SamTheBeardGuy what do you mean by that
@@slimsauu389 I think he prefers just playing piano over doing a lot of other things, watching tv, going out, chilling...I'm guessing he enjoys playing the piano over other things. I kinda feel like that also
@@LeatherKeys Well explained
Bro! You need to take all your work to Spotify so we can play it thru Alexa, you’re such an inspiration!
Working on it!
absolutely love what you're doing in these sessions! I would not mind if you could display the midi output in future sessions. Maybe I'm the only one, but perhaps this comment will get enough votes ✅
Thanks for pointing out 'most part.' I didn’t understand why I was procrastinating, enjoying the improv instead of working hahahaj
You're amazing bro!
I love the way you move that right pinky light you you're playing tremolo on a violin!
What other videos do you want to see?
Well, the video where you explained concepts that changed your playing was very interesting, as a guitarist I find intriguing to understand how other instrumentalists think about music. I'm eager to see other ones in that genre ;)
@@francoislernoux3611 That's actually at the top of my list! I want to do something like that again.
Yeah man that's what I'm talking about.
I know you said in your previous video you're not a big fan of classical music but how you opened it in the beginning minutes actually reminded me a lot of romantic era compositions
This is true. I actually really like that era of classical music hahaha.
as a professional pianist listenning to this just took me to a place i wasn’t since a long time! thank you sam, keep going on bro 🤍
Keren main kyboardnya kawan.👍👍
Haha, thanks for watching!
From Brunei 🇧🇳 Darussalam, enjoy watching your playing👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!
35:00 to 45:00 really hit a spot with me, so mellow and really emotional - loved it.
THanks for watching!
thank you for this gift. Beautiful playing. I learned a lot from just listening :)
thanks!
I can tell you enjoy playing the Korg D1 a lot more, it really shows through the way you are producing the sounds it seems a lot more smooth and effortless.
Yes, I love it more. The studiologic was just so heavy.
@@SamTheBeardGuy do you find Keyscape feels closer and present also?
You are fantastic. Never stop ❤
never
Well done. Awesome playing .

Beautiful. The changes are very nice.
Thank you!

Great stuff Sam!
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you very nice!!!
thanks!
Really starting to look forward to these Improv Sessions. So fun and wonderful to listen to. Looking forward to hearing what you think about the D1.
Thanks for watching! I really like the D1. It feels way better than the Studiologic I had.
@@SamTheBeardGuy which studiologic?
amazing!!!!
Amazing talent
thanks!!
Sweet! Time to spend the next hour on this :)
Enjoy!
Beautiful, as always. Thank you Samthebeardguy!
No... THANK YOU
Love this!!
Thanks for watching!!!
It’s actually my lullaby now !
Merci from Paris
Love what you do !
Thanks for watching!!! 😜😊😊
Gonna put this on during my commute today. Thank you for the great content as always :)
Thanks for watching!!!
Heey first of all i gotta say i really love your work, incredibly relaxing ❤😊. I also wanted to ask for permission if possible to use some fragments of this video in a game i am currenly developping (mostly for relaxed city/house-like themes).
The first couple of minutes - the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard on piano. Very compelling music. Can you explain it Sam? What makes it so good? What were you thinking for that song?
Thank you! I can't really explain it, I just play.
Ahh.. you're so kind to put this up for us to hear... at ~17m it's a very lovely moment when it's raining!
I can definitely hear a difference with this piano, you can get a higher dynamic from it. And the sustain sounds like a hall reverb, but is a very pure undistorted tone - but is that a separate effect? At this kind of quality of piano, do you get a lot of difference in the action of the keys?
Thanks for watching! I might have added a tiny bit of reverb to this, but that's all I would have done to the piano. This certain patch I'm using has the pedal tones cranked so it's more prevalent than normal.
Just stumbled across you, are you self taught just curious how you learned to place and play your figure and hand placement?!!! Its beautiful
¡Sos increíble! Me encanta tu forma de tocar el piano!!!
thanks for watching!
I really love your weekly live albums, my friend. Kinda looking forward to the next one! Imagine being able to produce 52 albums a year! Or maybe add some comments in the CC, so we can appreciate your inputs without interrupting your vibe... Just wondering...
Thanks for listening! Not a bad idea
Beautiful...it was a pleasure listening
Thanks for listening!
I really appreciate the Keith Jarrett references or at lease I'm hearing his influence on your playing. Perhaps a bit of Lyle as well? Regardless, appreciate you sharing!
favorite pianist of all time, Keith Jarrett. Blesses me you say you hear it haha
Hey bro. Love your playing. Just wanted to give you the heads up....that awesome piano I was bragging about is on sale right now for 49.99 . I would love to hear you play it. I just know you are going to fall deep in love with it. I think the best sample mics by farrrrrr..... Uvi....Austrian grand......
Hahaha, maybe one day. I have too many pianos right now.
So you're a very wonderful keys player and so I'll assume you've played on a fair few boards. I LOVE the action of the nords. It's totally my jam. How would you compare the action of your studiologic to another stage piano? For reference I've played the Roland RD800, FA 08, Yamaha MODX, CP88, Nord Piano 2, Nord Stage 2/3 (pretty sure the action is the same no?).
I actually hate the nord 3 action. All the other ones you mentioned are great.
How do you like the feel of the Korg D1vs your Studio Logic board? Sounding great as usual!
Korg D1 feels better to be. The Studio Logic is so stiff
1:57 gonna use this one day.
Do it!
Man I love these videos of yours.
If you ever start doing Skype lessons you'll have to let me know! I'm looking for a tutor again.
I've thought about it! Maybe one day. if I ever do, I'll make an announcement about it haha
@@SamTheBeardGuy Haha well if you ever wanna trial a student ahead of that announcement, come back to this comment and find me!
How do you come up with these musical ideas? Simply Amazing! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥 💛
I just let my brain work hahaha 🤪
@@SamTheBeardGuy What an awesome and incredible gift you have 🎁 I think of all the things you’ve put out, this one just...left me speechless. But I think I say that every time a new one gets uploaded 🤣🤣
49:06 I see what you did there mate!
Hahaha, it's funny, when you accidentally play it, you don't know. But then when you listen back, it's like "yeah I clearly played the lick"
Amazing! What about an hour long improv with PianoTeq? 😄
It's possible! I might do that soon. Thanks!
Is it true that you can here some sort of little white noise while hitting notes around the middle of the piano, at the area of C5? Maybe it's the pedal noise or hammer noise hitting the strings of the piano, are these sounds that Keyscape added them selves? Or it's just me who's hearing it haha, just curious
The patch I'm using had some noise, yes. Thanks for watching!
@@SamTheBeardGuy Insane details they have :)
Just putting in another request for the Rhodes 😄
Hahaha, I might do it next. It's time.
This on Keyscape again?🙌🏽
Hahaha. Well I love Keyscape. Soooooo
@@SamTheBeardGuy Haha I'm always in love with Keyscape and your playing ofcourse
@@SamTheBeardGuy Is this the classic Yamaha C7 from Keyscape by the way?
@@manuman84 it's the softest patch
Some jazz standards next....
Jazz standard coming out on Friday!
Can i used for free ?
