  • We love the Brooklyn Brew Shop Beer Making Kits but people get stressed by the siphoning and bottling process. They have made their own video which is brilliant but long so here is a shorter version. Take a look before bottling your beer, particularly if it's your first home brew. Happy bottling :)

    Best video on bottling - straight forward not loaded with jargon. Also the kitchen looks like mine. Not some industrial set up for semi-pro home brewers.

    Great!!
    I've been making bits and bobs for probably ten years but have never heard of or seen that pipe clamp! Looks so much easier to use than those poxy taps.
    These videos make the whole process feel simpler, and have really demystified all-grain. I'd thought you basically needed to be a chemist

    Pretty smooth for doing it all by yourself! I always found it was easier to bottle 5 gallon batches more than one gallon, especially using a bottling bucket and spring-loaded bottling wand. I'm impressed that you never broke the siphon (or edited all that out)

    is the spray sanitiser the same one as in the kit just in a spray bottle? I'm new to this and not sure how I avoid getting sanitiser in the beer... for example when you spray the inside of the pot do we need to rinse that off - assuming it's the one in this kit? thanks for the video!

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  2 роки тому +1

      Hi thanks for watching. The sanitiser in my spray bottle was bought separately but it’s the same as the stuff supplied in the kit (sodium percarbonate). You don’t need to worry about rinsing it off or getting a little in your beer - it’s designed as ‘no rinse’. Happy bottling ☺️

    Hello. My beer has been brewing for 2 weeks and 5 days now with the 5l keg product. (I poured In dextrose 2 weeks in). I'm not sure if you mentioned it but do you siphon the beer after 4 weeks so then in total I'll have to wait 6 weeks? Another quick question: how long does the bottled beer keep for and how do I store it after the extra 2 weeks is up? Thanks for your videos and your brilliant beer:)

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  Рік тому +1

      Hi thank you! In total the process should be 4 weeks (2 weeks fermenting and then siphon into bottles for 2 weeks carbonating/conditioning). The bottled beer will keep for a year at least and more if you keep refrigerated.

    This is an awesome video. I haven’t bottled in a while, but I love the simplicity of the setup you have going on here. I read somewhere that once you sanitize the surface it’s pretty good for about 30 minutes. How long would this all take end to end? Wondering if you might save headaches with a good sprits on everything before hand and jobs a good’n.

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks, I reckon it would take 15 mins without the camera shenanigans. I’m at the stage where I’m paranoid and sanitise everything: equipment, myself, pets, neighbour’s kids....

    • @ChuckUnderFire
      @ChuckUnderFire 3 роки тому

      @@BrewBrosUK the neighbors kids is just good general hygiene. I gotta be honest... I handle pretty everything on the cold side (after chilling) like it was made of COVID. I have drank too many gallons of bad beer not to be totally paranoid. Cheers for setting a good example.
      PS: was that syphon water in line sanitized? Sanitizer? Tap?

    I was given this to me as a gift! Wow, what a freakin long messy process this is, all for a 6 pack of crappy tasting beer that I could of went to the store and bought for 10 bucks.. Idk if I'm going to be making beer again any time soon..
