Me too. It was one of the first songs in my early walk to help me to realize the shame of my past & present failures are not what defines me. Christ's death on the cross and resurrection has removed our shame. Just like Christian in Pilgrim's Progress, Jesus Christ's victory over sin & death removes the weight of our shame & guilt! He gives us victory over the enemy's accusations because we are sons & daughters of the Most High! Thank you Lord Jesus!
One of the first songs that was a real encouragement to me back when I first came back to Christ (He brought me back to Himself) in the early 80's. It is our identity with JESUS CHRIST who alone makes us worthy & kills shame & guilt over our past & present failures! And gives us the victory over the enemy's accusations against us! Thanks so much for this song and your channel. I grew up listening to my local Christian station. I was knee high to a grasshopper and learned who God is because of artists like Mr. McSpadden. They don't write songs like this nowadays, clear and to the point. Listening to this is like going back home and eating my Mom's cooking!!!
