Because we feel that to provide all the detail you need to actually make the recipe it takes longer than most UA-cam videos. We want to teach you everything you need to know, not just entertain you.
Thank you for everything ❤! I enjoy the time I spent with you!
Hi Stephanie @ Joy Of Baking Yes And You Are Very Good Teacher Thank You So Much 👍👍🍰🍫🧁🥧🥮🥫🎂🍮👍👍♥️♥️
hi there, my daughter (who's 11 yrs old) and I love your demonstrations and we've been watching and using your receipes. Last week, my daughter successfully baked the brownie all by herself. She's so proud of it.
Stephanie, your the sweetest! Love how you have started tasting what you make after all the viewers comments on wanting you to do so. :) i love your recipes. Almost everything i try baking is from your channel and it never disappoints.
You always have interesting recipes. And the instructions are so easy to follow, clear and detailed. Thank you
I love that you always say also the measurements in European standard!!!THANK YOU!!!
I have these in the oven as we speak. However I didn't have raspberry jam nor the ingredients to make it. So I substituted strawberry jam. In hopes that it will come out tasting like chocolate covered strawberries for Valentines Day. They are going over to a friend's house as they are newly engaged and thought it would be the perfect one to start their first Valentine's together. Thanks for rhe recipe, I love joyofbaking.com!
Just finished one and it is awesome!! Thank you for sharing~ my paste somehow looks a little thicker than yours in the video, and my kitchen is a total mess with my masterpiece, lol.
There is a detailed explanation of the difference on our Cocoa page on the site. It is under ingredients and chocolate. Or you can type cocoa into the search box at the top of every page.
Yes, you can use other flavors of jam.
The BEST brownies ever! Está receta debe ser la mejor receta de brownies que hay en el mundo. Es deliciosa. No hay forma de que salga mal.
I made these a few days ago, they really are the most delicious brownies ive ever had! :)
Yup, going to try some too! :)

I don't think I have ever seen you TASTE something you've made!!! You should always do this!
I agree!!
:)
Yes, that should work.
thank you for sharing! they are amazing!
It looks great and easy to make, thanks for all these wonderful recipes and your nice way of showing us how to bake them.
I understand how the raspberry will set off the chocolate flavour, but in a clear, yellow batter the raspberry swirls must look great...although, would this be still called brownie?
Congratulations for a great work done and thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Susana
The oven I use in the videos is a GE Profile Convection oven. I like it.
Yes, you can use cherry jam.
the jam swirls look really pretty!! :)
Everybody got crazy about this amazing brownies. So yummy , gowey. Moist and perfect flavors. Thank you
Not sure why that would happen. The only thing I can think of is that the batter was over mixed so it was too thin to support the jam.
Thanks for sharing Stephanie - lovely recipe as always!!
I think strawberry jam would be very nice.
Baking soda is mainly used when there is an acidic ingredient in the recipe.
I love everything about your videos. I love how precise everything is. I don't think you have to do cartwheels and summer-saults to entertain us, the content is enough. This is a baking channel, hello!?
What exactly *is* that hotplate/cooking surface/portable stove you're using? It's very interesting looking! Looks fancy!
It is an induction hot plate. It is a new technology that heats the pot directly.
FInally its been a long time we miss u here from london xx
I love this recipe...turned out sooo good:) I put some extra fresh fruits on top, so good:)) Thank you:)
These look scrumptious
Hey staphanie i love all your videos and recipes i have made so many of them!! Was just wondering if you think this will be as good with strawberry jam or would it make a little to sweet? much love from Australia
Instead of butter I can use avocado?
Instead of flour, I can use the same amount buckwheat?
hey Stephanie!!
would you explain about the shelf life?
thank you so much, i m living outside U S now and you are helping me a lot :)
i don't know how to give you back your favor to all, and to me specially, so thanks :)
is it okay to ask you about many things in baking!? i mean can i ask too much!? :)
wow another recipe for me :) i have question can i used also peache jam? thank you :)
You can use the microwave.
Can you please make FLAN CAKE???? I love your recipes... I have made so many of them!! Thank you so much
can i use some brown sugar with white granulated sugar ?
Hi, can I microwave the chocolate-butter mixture or should I double boil them?
Hi!may I know what brand of oven are you using?I'm getting a new oven and would like to have some suggestions. Thanks!:)
Can the jam b added in the batter..bec the places whr i put blobs of jam n swirled sank aftr baking..taste was awesome though
These look amazing
my lawd those look amazing!
Love the brownies and so does my family!!!! Thank You:)
If I want them to raise, how much baking powder or soda I have to add
Hi there. I love this recipe but there's one thing that always fails me.
I have made these brownies three times (exactly as is mentioned in the video) and every single time I get the same problem. When they are cooked, the jam ALWAYS sinks to the very bottom of the brownies, making them difficult to remove. They break, the jam (sometimes) falls out and leaves them very messy. I use a thermometer so the oven temperature seems fine. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Do u have a cakey brownie recipe...? i like those...
The brand of cocoa powder I used was lighter in color than a lot of cocoa powders.
Can we use a recipe for blondies instead?
Hi Stephanie, may I add some nuts into this recipe? Will it somehow change the texture?
Yes you could. The texture should be the same with the exception of the added crunch of the nuts.
OMG that looks soooooooo good!
What's the difference between Dutch process cocoa and regular unsweetened cocoa?
Can you use something besides vanilla extract?
would strawberry jam work well with the brownies instead of raspberry jam?
yumm!! they look amazing!!
Can we use oil instead of butter? If so, what quantity?
Totally agree
Great idea!! Lovely
Thanks looks yummy
I may try this.
after baking should i put it the fridge immediately or I should leave it at room temperature first
I normally store brownies in the refrigerator.
is it the lighting or is your cocoa a bit pale?
can we use different type of jam
is it ok if i use cherry jam?
Why is this brownie mix different from from your other brownie mix? You use coco powder and chocolate chips?
so yummy 😋😋 Thank you x
Hello! Thanks for the video. Should I let them sit and cool at room temp. before throwing in the fridge or can they go straight from oven to fridge? Thanks!
I always let them cool to room temperature and then I cover and refrigerate.
Thank you very much!
I loved this video so much that I mixed up a brownie mix we had and put some of this raspberry marmalade into a 4x4 row of dollops. Then I swirled it around and put it in the oven. It's cooking right now. Oops! I better go check on them before they burn!
Will try this...thanks
whats the difference between baking soda and baking powder?
that's how it is at my house too...gone in 5 minutes!
I like your videos. Thank´s
Can I use Hershey's coco??
She's always tasting lately *-* And yes, I love see it too
I made this yesterday and tasted it this morning....The only thing I did different was use 1/2 cup of sugar because a lot of recipes calls for a huge amount of sugar and my desserts end up tasting like nothing but sugar so I've been using half of sugar amounts. I also baked this for 25 minutes instead of 30 minutes. It came out less sweeter than I thought and dry as a sponge.
+nvd2ceb4 Sugar is not only for sweetness. It also adds volume, tenderness, texture, color, and acts as a preservative. So if you reduce the sugar in a recipe it's going to affect the texture of the brownies. If you found the brownies too dry, then next time I would use more sugar.
I will because your video was straight and to the point and it was truly easy for me to follow. Next time more sugar!! I didn't know it adds volume and texture to your food. Just goes to show how often I bake desserts, lol. Thank you for getting back with me.
How should you reduce the sweetness if you can't reduce the sugar then? :)
You should be able to.
Mercy lol. great recipe. thanks
These look amazing! Raspberry and Chocolate are one of my favourite combinations! Thanks for this!
xo @TheHotPlate1
yeah, i think your batter was probably not dense enough. maybe you didn't wait enough for the chocolate to cool a little and thicken up before putting the jam on? cheers
so perfect 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌
she started tasting just a while ago :)
Ok thanks for the tip dear!;)
can i use fresh raspberries instead?
Mahwish Khan Yes, that would be okay.
it has to be without added sugar or added milk powder. 100 % coco.
Hi
lol
mmmm :)
Why not take it one step further? You could add a peanut butter swirl and make PB&J brownies.
even if she did taste it, when we make it we'd have to taste it and let our own tongue be our judge, just because someone else likes a recipe it doesn't mean we'd really like it, :) sometimes we have to adjust recipe's to our own taste buds.
pls reply
she tasted macarons too :9
