EEW Nano - Getting Started 3 - Preparing to spin

- This is the third in a short series of getting started videos aimed at brand new spinners who are spinning for the first time on an EEW nano.
In this video I go over getting the nano ready to spin, assembling the bobbins, attaching the leader, and practising with waste yarn until you're comfortable with the speed and takeup.

Thank you for your video! I just bought the Nano2… my first ever spinning wheel. I am used to supported spinning (lace and cobweb) and thought the Nano2 is perfect for me. My mother felt like an outing, there was a crafts fair this past Friday, I took her there (we.re both yarn addicts). Whilst drooling over yarns I spied a stand with beautiful combed top… and they were also selling the EEW 6 and the Nano2. No extra shipping if I bought it then and there. Got 100 grams of gorgeous Norwegian natural white combed top as a free gift as well. Can’t wait to try it out! I’m waiting to unbox it just in case my SO decides to give that sweet little Nano2 as a Christmas present… he might want for me to wait until the 25th of December to do so (hope not!). If he wants to give me something else that box ‘ll be flying off in no time though. 😇
In the mean time I’m bingeing on videos. 😂
Thanks for all your videos! I found a link to order your tension nob design. My Nano comes in Monday and I can't wait! I've spun on spindles and wheels, but this is my first e spinner. Your videos were the best and I feel confident that I'[m going to love my Nano!

The nano is a little fiddly to get the takeup right when you're first starting a new project/bobbin, but once you get used to it it'll get easier and you might find you can get it right immediately at the start

Why do you have tape in front of the flyer wheel?
Oh I wonder if the uptake issues I'm having us just the bobbin. Most of mine spin but I never thought of it being the cause of my issue. The tension will be fine and then all of a sudden it's like the yarn stops winding onto the bobbin.
I was watching you reassemble and noticed you forgot to replace the bearing!
You're more observant than I am!!
Can you make art yarn on the nano? Or do you think it would stick too much. Cheers!
