*great video, Jake!*
*Great editing Zik!*
Thank youuuuu !!
I like to use HiPER Calc too on my phone. It has nice fraction, integral and derivative templates.
Thank you for that !
Useful information! Thanks Jake
Thank you so much Momen !!
Hey guys, I am a mechanical engineer looking for an app that works like bluebeam to markup drawings on my Tab 6 lite. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Good, highly informative 👍
This video was much needed. Thanks Jake👍🏽
thanks for producing this !
Jake Voorhees You're welcome
This video is very helpful 👍 thanks!
Appreciate that!
Ty
Thanks Jake for this great information. I first have to get a memory card so that I can download these applications and try them out.
Haha cool
I'm gonna have to get to work on getting those apps. Thanks for the suggestions!
awesome! let me know what we can help you with next, thanks!
I wish mechanical engineering one existed on iOS. I also wish I was aware of the 2017 video when I was an undergrad. It definitely would've changed my attitude as a student haha
yeah we need to be making one of these each year, maybe even each semester if there is enough to make a new video. Thanks for the help on this Sean !
Jake Voorhees my pleasure. Looking forward to more
Hey Jake, been watching your videos for a while and thank you so much for them. I am a Junior studying Electrical Engineering at a college in NYC. I wanted to reach out to see if you still have any available internship opportunities that I could possibly fill during my free time during my semester. Especially since it will be completely remote.
We launched this week, so keep in touch about future things, thank you !
Thanks for the info. I suscribe.
👍😊✅
Thank you so much !
Sir, could you tell about bio medical engineering, notes how to get
Very good and funny videos bring a great sense of entertainment!
You always give the best guidance possible.
thank you! what can I help you with next? cheers
good content. i hope that your channel update quickly....
thank you!
Do you have any experience with medical equipment or device engineering? I am currently studying mechanical engineering and am having a tough time getting involved with what I would love to do in the workplace. I talked to a mentor and she explained medical devices are super expensive to build and develop so there are very few jobs. That was a bummer for me to hear because I’m not sure where I want to apply my skills in the future. Thanks for the anticipated response I appreciate your time!
Hey Jake, catching up on some of these comments. So what are you trying to figure out? If that is a viable career option? I think it is. I do not think you should switch majors or anything - the path to working with medical devices is exactly what you are doing. So stick with it, and try to intern at a medical device company like Siemens. Keep in touch with BME professionals you meet and you will be fine, thank you !
ios video please
yeah i knew that was needed too
So where is?
2:13 I would definitively go with OneDrive instead of Google Drive. Firstly, google docs and its apps are too simplistic compared to the Office desktop apps imo. The desktop apps are simply better than the google docs webapp, and you can't cooperate on them if the files are in Google Drive instead of OneDrive afaik. Secondly, OneNote. OneNote isn't perfect, but if I'm using a tablet and a pen to take notes, no other note app has "the full package" the way OneNote does. Thirdly, OneDrive is right there in the file explorer. Including sharepoint folders from group works. Search indexed and ready to be opened in desktop apps, automatically synced on disk at all times. (Ok I see the Google Drive solution for the file explorer at least has gotten placeholders for online only files since last time I used it, but it still isn't integrated with Office desktop apps, and if it's anything close to the wreckage that the iCloud app is, I'm not touching it with a 60 foot pole...)
Could you plzz tell me which is best to do masters in robotics germany or USA interms of job and course stucture thank you
Where do you want to live and work after? Study there
@@JakeVoorhees I now I am persuing batchler in mechanical and interested in doing projects using raspberry Pi and aurdino can i do ms robotics or mechatronics??
Facts, Google drive is great. Got 2 accounts plus onedrive I've been saving since highschool
Nice awesome let me know what questions you have next
Hey, i'm starting my Marine Engineering course next week,3 yesrs broken into 5 phases, 3 in college, 2 on sea, any advice? Also keep up the good work :)
yeah good stuff, congrats. Sure here is my general advice. Build good relationships with your professors by participating in class, staying afterwards and asking questions, and by going to office hours. Study and work in student groups, even during COVID, students are finding ways to do work and study together, so pursue them. We have a discord server with over 1000 engineers, and you can find some of those types here bit.ly/1EngineerDiscord2.
In terms of networking, join student organizations and engineering societies that will potentially give you experience and leadership, but definitely put you in front of engineers who are working in the world right now. Keep in touch with these people, and try to setup informational interviews. I did a video about that here, "Informational Interview Tips" ua-cam.com/video/nxUtpzPHKjc/v-deo.html. You can keep in touch after that and ask for opportunities for real internships.
Also, reach out to professors for opportunities while in school. I was a grader. I did research as an undergrad and was paid for it. I had professors help me get into grad school and introduce me to people. They are powerful, so keep in touch with them. Does all this makes sense? Let me know what else I can help you with k? Thanks!
Awesome !!!
thank youuu
Pls can you make a video comparing chemical engineering and chemical and biomolecular engineering because I am seeing chem and bio eng in place of chE in some university and it confusing.... Will I still be considered a chem eng if I study chem and bio eng😧
Biomolecular engineering is essentially chemical engineering with a more narrow focus on biological, biochemical, and biomolecular systems and processes, hope that helps
Can i solve engineering mathematics like probability, statistics, partial differential equations??
Hey thanks for the comment. What like from an app?
Check the video and also here, ua-cam.com/video/qEWRwq6zVso/v-deo.html let me know what follow up questions you have okay cheers
That’s cool 👍🏿
thank you!
Great information, just make sure with Chegg you try the problem by yourself, then use Chegg to check you answer. If you just copy the answer from Chegg, you are severely hurting yourself.
haha exactly yeah thanks Hamza !
@@JakeVoorhees This is my first semester taking all Engineering classes. Chegg helped me pass the last 3 semesters. Am I screwed?
@@Jojo24422 No, what I am saying is it needs to be done in a way where you are actually learning the material. You could get away with it, but I would not recommend it, because you are teaching yourself that it is OK to take shortcuts in life. To be clear, overall, it is not OK to take shortcuts in life.
@@hamzawaheed7670 That’s true. It’s just that I don’t see myself working in engineering for more than 5 - 10 years. I just want payoff my loans. Once I do that, then I will probably go into a different career/profession like mathematics or motivational speaking.
@@Jojo24422 ok cool, I wish you the best of luck in doing that.
Hey Jake, I've recently become interested in engineering, and if it's not too much trouble for you could you give me a list of the things that I would need to study/learn before I start school. I'm interested in studying mechanical engineering, and specializing in mechatronics! Any information would help! Thank you! 😊
Yeah good question, here you go:
You can do all sorts of things. You can start a robotics / rocket / solar power car / steel bridge or any other type of engineering club, or even just a general engineering club. You can work on projects, digital or physical. You could build a coding portfolio, you could do arduino / RPi projects, etc. You culd start an engineering IG / Tiktok and build content there. You could be emailing with or Linkedin messaging with engineering professionals and already building relationships. You could volunteer for other local engineering professional organizations and get involved as a student. You could volunteer with some sort of engineering org or uni. There are lots of things you can do, you just have to get creative k? Cheers and good luck!
Do you know any app/s similar to IBM SPSS?
No sorry, id just google around or use reddit, good luck !
