I came across your youtube channel yesterday and now im addicted to your videos! Great content 👏
Thank you 🙏🏻
Slammer was a lot of fun - the biggest problem with it was that it took forever to load and unload, so even though it held 48 people per cycle it could still be a very long wait!
That’s a pain. As I said in the video it looked stunning. Definitely one to catch the eye when I was cycling 😀
Samuri at chessington was insane, 1stvyear at thorpe park it was still good. After that the arms would never roll over more than twice. I remember my face being firmly planted to the padding of the restraints previously.
Aw damn. That sounds more like a Thorpe park ride!
@@coaster_dad yea really don't know why they tamed it down.
If you wanna feel something even more intense than samurai ever was and probably the most extreme ride I've ever been on is Auronauts flat ride at the fair. OMG, you come off crying, and you can't walk for 5mins. And all your arms and legs go numb. It's mental. Illegal I'd say. And second to that is time machine at Southend, well the old one. Makes you go blind. You literally black out. I've ridden over 200 extreme rides, from coasters to flat at every park in the UK, and nothing comes close to these 2 rides.
Loving these! It's truly appreciated thank you. A lot of memories swept back
Glad you’re enjoying 🙂
Keep up the good work 🎉🎉
Thank you
I miss slammer. I loved that thing 😭
It looks mental. And I’ll never get to try it 😔
amazing video!!
7:20 this is because intamin doesnt produce this track gauge/track type anymore (hence why they resorted to getting taziker in to do some retracking but i think theyve given with that idea now) and is also likely why colossus hasnt had new trains yet
Ah. Good to know. Would be amazing if the trains/restraints could change at some point but I guess that’s an expensive job so they may be focussed elsewhere
Never managed to get on collosus or swam because they were down the times I went. For the travelling for me, the park the last time I went was very underwhelming and that was 2001. To many shows, downtime and queue time that day. Sadly all it needs for me with using public transport is one bad day at a park and I'm put off. I prefer nemesis the original to the remake. Never rode collosus twin either. Was down when I went. I still can't believe the park went from family to full on thrill so fast in the noughties. Crazy. Lol. Another fabulous video as always. Can't wait for the next installment. Xx
Yeah it’s far for me too so I’m there next Thursday and keeping my fingers crossed to get on Hyperia etc.
@@coaster_dad And get on collosus to and let me know. Hope you have a fabulous day x
So we were just watching this whilst having tea... then the final advert 'came' on... Darcy was like why are they making those noises Daddy... im like... mummy will explain..... 😅 top vlog though.
🙈😂 oops
Another great video man!
Thank you
Fastrack is a joke now. Was great back from 2010 to 2018. They changed it to digital scan and the price of the fastrack is ridiculous these days.
When the ticket was tick boxes with marker pen to mark the rides youve been on it was so good as employees didnt even bother to mark them until they saw you had like 3 rides and then they would tick the box with the marker. And the fastrack was like £40 for all the big rides. It actually put me off going to the park as much and especially on weekends. I remember one day nobody marked my stealth fastrack and i got 22 rides in in the afternoon. As well as 5 on nemesis, 4 on saw, swarm about 8, Colossus closed after the 2nd go i had so again was given replacement fastrack and went on slammer good couple times. I left the park at 4pm an hour before closing because id had enough. Nowdays im lucky to get 1 ride on each of the big coasters and feel so lethargic through queuing. So i tend to go southend instead. Or flamingo land as theres never any queues.
Ha ha sounds like you got your moneys worth on that fast track. 😂
@@coaster_dad mate, best day ever, I'll be honest the 22 rides on stealth was because a shareholder of the park was riding stealth over and over, and after he saw me walk around the queue 5 times, he told me to stay with him and don't queue up, and just step to the side. We rode front row all afternoon. Was great.
First
Saw was the steepest in the world at the time of opening until mumbo jumbo took the title as world’s steepest
Yup. Didn’t last long huh 😀
