@@linkfreak404 the backgrounds are pseudo 3d in 2d format, meaning the 3d perspective is used to give the stages background a dynamic feeling instead of a flat image like tekken 2. So the backgrounds are in 2d but the perspective isn't
The ps1 version was so so closed to the arcade port it was just as smooth but the arcade version had real 3D backgrounds while the ps1 had 2D backgrounds
no friend it's not 2d because the stage rotates in the same way as the arcade version, the only difference is that in the a5rcade version some pathetic flat trees are included, flat plants, 2d sprites, it's a silly difference ,,,
If a scenario rotates like a square cube, it is 3d not 2d, or is it that you don't see that there are corners? it is because it is 3d but in that cube there is a pre-rendered background and it also looks better, because it seems more realistic,,
in the arcade version there are flat things, and part of it is animated drawing, it actually looks better in the console version,,.. 😉👌🌟observe:
@@espejoPublic yeah maybe your right it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it since I couldn’t really compare at the times. I just remember reading an issue of game pro magazine when they compare it to the arcade port and ps1 port how their saying the background was 3D on the arcade.

Tekken 3 is one of the best fighting games of all time.
This game came out the same year Street Fighter III: New Generation and Mortal Kombat 4 were released.
Ahh the 90's where Fighting Games are the best thing of all, and Saban Entertainment was the Company no.1 in making Kids Fun thanks to the Power Rangers and the X-Men Animated Series.

As much as I’m a massive SF fan, SF3 didn’t have a leg to stand on, especially against Tekken 3. I didn’t even know about SF3 until years later and also the fact the PS1 wasn’t powerful enough to run the CPS3 based arcade games didn’t help either.

this music brings me back! I believe I first saw this at a tilt in the mall, but I for sure saw this plenty of times at the MGM grand. it was either tilt, dream machine, cyber station, timeout, or Aladin’s castle.
If I remember correctly they also had a cab at the New York New York casino arcade too! (along with Tag 1)

I loved this freaking game, 2-4 was probably me at my peak. U'd definitely spend some quarters getting me off the game LoL
Arcade's graphics are better than the PS1 ones but...PS1 soundtrack kicks asses!

Arcade is better, to console version uses only photos.
All I gotta say is, my Paul & Lei Wu Long techniques were OG status.
The fact that the Arcade version had actual 3D backgrounds while the PS1 didn't. I somewhat feel robbed.

At least the announcer said the players name and the music plays until the next round which the console vers didnt have and the load times faster on arcade. If only it was implemented to the console vers but we got what we got

How did you get MAME to get the the music to not skip during the credits at the end? I would love to know!
What I did exactly, I use the MAME Record Input feature and when I'm done recording, I exit it out, then make myself the Windows Batch File, type in the emulator I use, the name of the rom, playback the recorded input, and finally use the AVI recording input. That's how I did it.
Mame rom from tekken dont support music, you are using ps version!
I never knew that T3 arcade had different music for each round similar to SF3 Third Strike
Arcade had better graphics and sounds. The sfx in the PS1 version sound so pitched and compressed.

The ps1 console version is much better, it is better quality and the pre-rendered scenarios give it more elegance, everything is more streamlined, cleaner, arcade is more pixelated and sawtooth
also on ps1 console, the characters are smoother 😉👌🌟

Why would I wanna use bilinear filtering for smoothing? I use point or nearest neighbor filtering for quality improvement.
