My eldest brother used to remember all of King's chain combo grapples/throws. This is the reason I am watching it, it makes me think of him. We lost him last year, may he rest in peace. Thanks for the demonstration.
I was 14 it was cool because I had this on PlayStation and it was still in the arcade. The players in this game had so many moves it was insane at the time.
Indeed. King II is my favorite one since this game. He was given the muscle buster going forward with the franchise. Tekken 3 made it quite iconic, but King II returns in every game after that with the same throws you remembered. :D

A friend of mine was a king master. A real nightmare to play against. You kicked or punched? Counter grab, then start grabbing and connecting throws. You stayed on standing position? He grabbed you and connected all of these throws until you were dead. You stayed on crouch position? He grabbed you there and kill with multiple throws. You were on the ground? He grabbed you there too. Really great player, every time I won against him was because I find a way to play smarter and find a weak point. My main was Paul that on this game was particularly weak against King. He was unbeatable also with Bosconovich.
Wow nearly 25 years ago I was unstoppable with King. My mates and I would have all weekend competition first one to 100 victories. With more experience than me from playing tekken 2 they started out strong but then I found King and learnt his grapple and throw moves and combo links and those weekends of fighting to the first 100 victories soon stopped. They could dish it out and laugh at me when they wiped the floor with me in the early comps. But when I did it back to them they suddenly did not find the game fun.. aah the memories of linking catches while blocking then entering constant combos of grapples until you got a perfect those where the days. You can break out of any of the throws at any step. You just have to press the correct button or buttons. For example Ana (in stage 7) breaks out of the giant swing at the end of the combo chain.
On easy and medium difficulty the CPU very rarely breaks out of tackles. The problem is hard mode. Thats when the CPU always ducks when you try to grab it. Its very difficult to get a multi throw chain started with King, nina or anna on hard mode
@@kyriosalphatekken When I say the tackle, I mean King or Jin crouching and then doing left and right punch so they tackle the CPU to the ground. Even on easy, the CPU is constantly escaping from that.
Damn I love this game I remember being in and arcade playing this and my Asian homie kicked my a** with king and all the combos. This and he taught me how to do them myself
