Absolutely amazing video! Loved watching this... I live locally and have only ridden the lower trails at Fort William. I watched the world cup this year and watching the pros do it, at their speed... Not a chance I throught to myself but I have just booked my ticket to try it out this weekend (slowly...) because of your video! Great work, love love love it.
Well done Kara! Mint video! I’m taking my Daughter up to Fort William in a couple of weeks and told her I wouldn’t be riding as it would be to difficult but she’s directed me to your Channel (this video in particular) in the hopes of persuading me to give it a go. I reckon I might just have to have a crack at it 😁
Great job getting down that track. I was lucky enough to ride that track last month although the weather was not great when I went. I also have a YT channel and also get people criticizing my riding and feel the need to offer coaching advice, as if I don't already know my weaknesses. Keep up the good work and don't let the comments of a few teenage boys put you off.😀
Great to see you getting out and enjoying your ride. Well done for not being pushed into something you don't feel comfortable doing, potentially hurting yourself badly. I would be making the same calls as you. I enjoy just getting out there and riding, not putting my family at harm with risks I shouldn't take if I am not skilled to do it. Have fun!
Well done Kara - certainly made it look more user friendly for us in our rookie years, but like Tom you used the wrong kit to hit a DH trail. Using an enduro or a DH bike is going to make a lot of that easier (he says desperately now wanting to do this track) and would love another return of you both smashing this one out. More trails less jumping for likes - these videos I think personally are better showing your riding 👍🏻
Although I never learned many skills mountain-biking back in the day, I could actually ride rough lines like this quite fast. It really comes down to: "speed is your friend", the faster you go, the easier it is.
Love your vids, Kara, but please stop psyching yourself out! You are far more capable than you think. If you could get over some of the mental blocks, you might be surprised how good you actually could be!
Fair play to you girl, well done made me want to have a go myself now, never thought I would be able to do a World Cup run , dontbthink 8 will be attempting any of the jumps though too old for that.👊😎
I’d be interested in a video of you going back there on a DH bike and for you to show us if the extra travel makes difference to your confidence to hit some of the sections. I rode there on a trail bike (only from the road drop down as the gondola was closed). Bailed on the river gap too, even though my brain was nagging at me to try it!
Well done kara I would love to that track. Would've done that gap jump. Love your vids your doin better then me I don't get out much but wen I do I just go for it 👌 enjoy ur nxt adventure out
I walked past you there last weekend in car park! Recognised you but took a minute for me to realise where I knew you from! The haibikes were the give away!
Fort William is not the hardest by far, it has a high risk of injury at speed due to all the bed rock. If you want a challenge get yourself to Champery
respect to you for doing fortwilliam DH track,a few mates and i went there for a days when i was 32 i 🤔 + you said you’d seen a few clips on youtube etc 😂 it gives you no idea of just how hard it is does it,anyway keep 🚴♀️ 😁👍
I hate to break it to you Kara, but in no way can you describe yourself as a “novice”! You also don’t need that excuse anymore as you are progressing to become a good rider!
The hardest World Cup Downhill track? Not sure who told you that, but it's probably the easiest. Fort Bill is a piece of cake compared to tracks like Val di Sole.
Kara is definitely on good terms with God and Jesus from the sounds of it. She's constantly calling out to them and she gets down pretty safely each time. Kara, you had some pretty solid line choices there. You are definitely approaching trails with a confidence to pick out good lines. "Look ahead, look ahead, I don't like what I'm seeing!" is now one of your best unscripted lines. Keep that one for sure. Great riding. Give yourself some practice and that river jump will come to you easily.
Unfortunately.... We just can't see 'steepness'. The curse of the action video, no accurate perspective. The only people who know how steep a trail is are the riders that have been there. ♥️😁
@@stevenbattersby9776 imagine doing something you’re really proud of and some random says it’s rubbish, I bet your a big man though eh 👍🏼 I don’t have a problem, none at all batty boy 🤙🏼 ride safe 🤙🏼

Glad you enjoy it!
@@KaraBeal That track looks like a nightmare , great at breaking your bike and your bones !

Not seen any of your vids for a while and my word, you've come a long so well. Great to see you progressing forward. Keep safe
that is super impressive. I have only started mountain biking and really enjoyed your video.
This was scary, and very well made. I almost felt like being on your bike. The most scary bike video I ever seen. You got a ton of guts!

You did well there tbf Kara.
Might be worth noting if anyone’s thinking of coming up. Nevis Range Gondola is only running Friday- Sunday for bikes!
rode this quiet a few years ago and its mental, hat off to you for trying this, well done
Yeah I dunno how good downhill riders go so fast tbh they fly off into the distance and I just feel completely out of control trying to keep up 😂

That’s spooky as I am here now and did the DH trail 3 times today 😆, tough but awesome!!!

Solid run that, balls of steel 💪
Oh this I super clean perfeOMFG 😂 Great video and just enjoy on your own level
You have inspired me to now want to do this. Thanks 🙏
I think you did a great job on that track. 👍🏻

you did well
A novice couldn’t get down that track. And a novice usually has an old Minelli bike. Or Walmart variant. And never sell yourself short.
You two getting around.
Video cut = walking, but well done anyway. Doesnt look easy
Reminds me of myself
That looked really knarly and dodgy. You’re a daredevil

Fort Bill really isn't steep at all compared to other World Cup tracks like Val di Sole and Loudenvielle.
Ur not a novice u ride more than 90 % of riders and got all best bikes
Are you a novice though?
Hardest? 🤣 what about val di sole?
Not a downhiller. I dont think your a bike rider
