Not updated yet from Amplitube 4 to Ampltube 5 yet so 100% going to have to do that before the end of the month. So impressed with the software generally it is so great. Listerning to sounds from this video it really does not disapoint does it. Very impressed.
Yeah me too...I think it sounds great and is really easy to use...and they do lots of promotions where you can get amps or pedals pretty cheap or like in this case for free
Great demo, nice sounds. I particularly appreciate your explanation of how the amp actually works. I would love to see a demo/instruction video on how to dial in different tones.
I have a question, I noticed that you have a lot more distortion than me while using the same preset as Amlpitube. In particular in the video when you use the Soldano crunch, leaving the lever on normal and not on OD, to you it sounds well distorted, to me it sounds almost clean and not even a bit distorted, why ? I use the Hiz input from Apollo Universal Audio, which is suitable for instruments. should I use a DI before entering the sound card or a buffer? I don't think so, I only have guitar cable and sound card, there is no signal loss
Awesome video! Subscribed! The Soldano sim is killer. Would love to hear you tweak the amps that come with the free version. I've just started messing with them myself.
Always love Marshall Amps and also have the Marshall "Gov Nor" pedal in Amplitube 4 (that they call something else)would be great to have a review of the differant Marshall amps in Amplitube 5 and also if there is still access to the pedal as well.
Hey Robert, I will definitely check some of the Marshall style amps in a bunch of videos - and I’ll check if they still have the Guv Nor...didn’t AmpliTube have official licensed Marshall amps at one stage? I remember a Slash pack with a whole bunch of Marshall Amps...or was that not AmpliTube?
@@TSFAHTPS yes they did have the Slash pack and Amplitube 4 had the Gov nor as a purchase upgrade. Just downloading 5 so will know soon enough if I get to keep my previously purchased pedal.
@@TSFAHTPS ok have now downloaded AT5 and amazingly you can have AT4 and 5 on the same PC. The Gov Nor pedal is renamed to the Ambass’dor in both software versions but my purchase from 4 carried over to 5 so did not loose it..... Result 😎💁🏻♂️👍🎛
Nice demo and playing! Can you review the ENGL Powerball? There aren't many amp sims of it around. If possible compare it quickly with the free 'old but gold' Lepou456.
I will definitely do a video of the Powerball soon...I have a Powerball 2 and I've been meaning to do some kind of comparison between the real amp and the sim! I'll check out the Lepou456 too...never tried it!! Thank you Serhii
Quick question. Is it normal to get a good amount of hum when using any hi-gain presets? Im using an ultra strat with the the noiseless pups which I know aren't completely noiseless. While single coils are bound to have some hum theres some presets in amplitube 5 with some insane hum. I assume thats pretty normal yeah? Thanks for any input. Kinda sorta losing sleep on it at the moment lol
I assume you are recording your guitar output directly from your DAW. The first Soldano present sounded very muffled. As if the speaker cab was in a closet with the door closed. Aside from that, it sounded pretty amazing. With Sims ... I have to feel them as well as hear them ... the feel can be distracting on many that I have tried ... even the Line 6 ones. I'd like to try the Soldano sim myself ... it's the only way that I would know it would work for me.
What are you using for an output? I can't find an output I like. I currently have an Electro-Harmonix power amp after the I/O Stomp into an Fender Speak cabinet. Not happy with the output
@@artheriford I talk about it in the video at around 1:05…I’m plugged into my audio interface which connects it to my computer and Logic Pro X, the software I record in and use the plugin in. The monitors are then connected to that interface - they are basically speakers for my computer…and I hear everything through those speakers…I could use headphones too or if I really wanted to I could just listen to it through the speakers on my computer…but that wouldn’t sound very good…so I’m using those monitors as my computer speakers! Hope that makes sense
Sounds amazing! Soldano stuff has always been great. In the interviews I've heard/read with Mike Soldano, he also seems like a pretty good guy. That gold Larry Carlton is absolutely gorgeous...is that an ebony neck? Between the Partsmastercasterblaster etc., the Fano and that, you're pretty well set up with new guitars. If you don't happen to have an interface, but you have a Katana, you can use that. Seems to work pretty well for me. Some really cool playing on this one, too. As always, hope you guys are doing well!
Hey Randy...yep that’s ebony...it has this lighter stripe running through it...looks really nice! I need to talk to Boss to get a Katana...I’ve only ever played one once but I remember really liking it! We are definitely set with guitars now...there will be a new partsmasterblastercaster with an aluminium neck coming shortly...the body is just being made for me - it’ll be a thinline Jazzmaster ...can’t wait!! We are great...very busy but great...hope all is well with you too!!
Thank you very much...and yes it does!! I will do a bunch more looking at amps and effects...let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see a video of!
This happens because they no longer have the official certification of the brand, generally because they did not reach an agreement to continue using the brand. I suppose that the fact that Neural Dsp is now using it has a lot to do with it
@@akzdb could be, i downloaded a demo of the neutral dsp version, have to say, its a long way ahead of the Amplitube one, spectacular but of kit, at a price.

Wow yeah the Soldano is really responsive, and gives a great metallic tone, especially for open chord riffing.
I really like that amp

It sure does
