- Cruiseman figures out how to install and setup a 180 lb adjustable bed frame BY HIMSELF. This is really a two-man job, but it can be done by one person, if you follow my steps.

Thanks for very helpful video. i have exact same bed, twin size. i purchased originally to use in in-law quarters to prepare for knee surgery. That's been put off indefinitely so I decided i'd use in my Cargo van which has been converted to a tiny home. Before watching your video i thought i'd just remove all electronics. From your video it seems like that will be next to impossible. But i'll still use if only thru winter. Your video was really very helpful, thanks again.

best way of doing this installation is by building the adjustable bed first then the head board and side rails and then the foot board. Much easier that way. I've done it and yes it is heavy for one person but wifey assisted me with the bed.
Chris is a genius!! I think I need to call him if I decide to get an adjustable bed.

A possibly easier method for one person:
Lay the bed frame down oriented the way it's going in and leg side down.
At the head, pick the bed up and lean it against the opposing wall (head at the top)
Attach the two feet that are at the head.
Lower the bed back to position.
Lift the feet end and prop it on something at least 10 inches high.
Attach the two remaining feet.
Slide it into place

I have had this now for over a year and I still love it.

Man! You did a nice job demonstrating the 1st. part on how to set up this bed frame. I'm sorry you had to do it by yourself. You showed it was easy to comprehend. I'm intending on purchasing 2 queen side beds. I think I will have to pay the $500 dollars fee. That's steep! The queen size will probably weigh about 200 to 250 pounds I don't know, I'll have to figure another way to do this less expensively. I'm already pushing it to the last penny. :) The second part would have been to see how you connected. I guess it was just as easy as plugging the cord into the socket. But nevertheless, thank you so much for this video.

Nice job and great solo solution. I resorted to, and was lucky enough to find, a second set of hands for $75 but I'd have taken more satisfaction if I'd have thought a little more out of box like you.

I’m wondering how you like the bed after 3 years, I also am coming from a sleep number bed to a Sven & Son Platinum.
I cannot figure out why you did any of this stuff. All you had to do once you got it into the room on its side (with its legs on) was give it a shove or better, add a little lift so it’s a controlled fall. The feet can slide over carpet no problem until there’s a mattress on it… and once it’s on the feet, lifting a corner is like 1/4 or 1/6 of the weight (you seem to be missing the two center legs, so you could just lever it up and pop your slider in there. There was no reason to mess around with removing the legs or using a platform. The only really hard part is just getting that monster of a heavy box into the house (and up any stairs).
Sucks that you couldn’t find anyone to help, but once the box is in place it’s a 1 person job if your space is clear enough. Once the box is removed, the heaviest weight you’d be lifting is 1/2 of the total weight, the floor is doing most of the work.
Why don't you do that and make a video of it?
@@CruiseReport I think I missed something, Why couldn't you have just flipped it over after you installed the legs, and with one side rail of the bed taken off, just slide into place like you did at the end? Were you afraid the legs couldn't take the weight of being stood up on them or was the frame just too heavy and awkward to do that? I ask because that is what my plan was when mine gets here. I didn't get the platinum I order the classic so I think it may be a fair bit lighter as well.

Great video and thanks for all you effort and suggestions. One question. Does the adjustable bed comes already assembled and the effort is going to be to take it inside the house and mount the 4 legs? Nothing else to assemble?
Yes, it is fully assembled.

Has held up great! Use it every night. Very pleased with the quality.
I wish you finished showing us. My question is when you make love in the bed will the bed separate? No one talks about what you can or can't do in the bed. Specially it has so much machinery to it.

Thanks for the video! The scissor jack was a great idea. Don't install the legs on the side closest to the floor when you go to flip it over. But do install them on the other size. Advice to anyone doing this on their own: Get help. Plan ahead. You need lots of space. Sliding on the cardboard or plastic is a good idea.

Did you have to remove the inner lip from the existing side rails of you bed? I believe they are screwed and glued on.
I don't recall doing that.
I also wanted to see how the bed was made.
What kind of neighbor wouldn't help you? Move to Iowa. I could find at least 10 guys in my neighborhood that would help.
Great video! I’m torn between getting a Sven & Son vs Tempurpedic. How’s your experience so far with the Sven & Son?
We have had them now for over a year and still very pleased. Only complaint, and it is a minor one, is the shape of the remote control. It is curved on bottom and if you set it anywhere near the edge of your nightstand it will slide off onto the floor. This is common with a lot of product remotes nowadays. Other than that one nit, the frames have worked flawlessly. I use mine ever night.

No, they are metal.
@@CruiseReport oh. Ok. I was wondering. Probably Chinesium Alloy. Haha... I just ordered the Dynasty DM 9000S. It appears these two frames are made in the same factory. Couldn't make up my mind on which company to by from. Dynasty hooked up the price on a split king and though in a couple of 12" mattresses for 2k bucks. Thanks for the video.

I found his video very helpful and appreciate because I too have headboard frame etc. Make your own video know it all
"Men" have common sense...implying women don't. Weird, I just put a Queen size adjustable bed together by myself. Didn't need help. Saw and pulled up this video to see how this guy dealt with it and noticed he's only installing twins.
