Substituting: there are three dimensions in our universe: length, width, and depth (discounting the theory of spacetime).
So thus this can be converted to "The factorial of the difference between 3 squared and one more than the smallest perfect number."
Perfect numbers are numbers other than one whose factors (not including themselves) add up to their own numerical value. Therefore, the smallest perfect number: 6 (1+2+3=6).
The original statement is now: "The factorial of the difference between 3 squared and one more than 6."
Convert to (3^2-(6+1))!
Simplify to (9-7)! = 2!
The "!" denotes a factorial. Factorials take all the positive integers leading up to the integer entered and multiply them. So thus 2! = 1*2.
Simplify. Eraser got 2 votes.

The "difference" part means that the second number, after the and, will be subtracted from the first number, so we have two sides to work with, before they're made into a factorial. Essentially, the equation comes out to this:
[(D^2) - (S + 1)]!
The number of spatial dimensions in our universe is 3, we live in 3D. So we can plug that in for D. The square of 3 is 9.
The smallest perfect number is 6. A perfect number is a number that is equal to the sum of its proper divisors (all of its divisors that are less than the number itself), and 6 is the smallest number with that quality. So now we have:
[9 - (6 + 1)]!
9 minus 7 is 2, so now we have to find the factorial of 2.

The factorial of a number takes all of the whole numbers counting up to said number by 1, and multiplies them together.
The factorial of 2 only consists of only 2*1, which simply comes out to 2 again.
So, the announcer was right! It is 2!
