Great Wrap-Up Kritz! I also really enjoyed Attack on Sasquatch Valley, the story you mentioned was incredibly tense. I was rooting for the mom. An un-Laymon like Laymon book... sounds intriguing. Glad you had a good time with Savage, will definitely check it out. I look forward to our live chat tomorrow.
I’m so glad you’re ending the year on a high Laymon notes. Honestly I can’t believe that reading challenge is coming to a close. It feels just like yesterday you two were announcing it. Time is so wild!! And you have me curious about the Hitchcock Hotel even though you were a bit lukewarm about it 👀 It’s giving winter mystery thriller!!
Sometimes I finish a book and I just think "it was fine". Not bad, not great...that was Hitchcock hotel. The author was smart and took a story that wasn't unique and gave it a theme. Kelsi had added up which author she read more of: King, McCammon, and Laymon....and Laymon now wins. I'm kind of curious if it is the same for me at this point 😂
Great wrap up! I’m glad so many of us read and enjoyed Jason’s book. It was a fun time. Hitchcock Hotel intrigues me, I may have to give it a go at some point.
It was def. more of a slowburn/unsettling read with not a lot of action. TBH even the ending had a build up where you think there is going to be some big showdown and then you don't get it then either.

I think you might like Savage. And yes, was def. rooting for the mom. I love it when the right person meets a grisly end in a book

I hadn't realized that Jason was an author as well! Hitchcock hotel is worth a read, just maybe not worth a purchase. Still had a fun time with it
Could not get into We Came To Welcome You [and not because I'm a homophobe or a racist] 🤣 the writing was completely boring

@Kritz_Reads I wasn't unsettled though. Lol that was why I put it down. I was laughing at the "suspense"
