If the Oscars were still like this, I might actually watch it.
Naw . You wouldn't
Facts
Yeah isn't it nice you don't have to hear Robert de Niro say f***Trump all these people today have a bad case of TDS, and man they sure the hell want to tell you about it
True, back then they still had respect for the people behind the scenes. If they would've recevied the award today, the second guy wouldn't even get the chance to thank his late mother
I would have to agree with you, also Michael Winslow is just so funny, I'm just Laughing so Hard, My side is hurting.
A time when television was good
With the Retro Decade Revival Project, television will be more than good, it will be perfect.
Televison, movies and the Oscars were good.
With the Retro Decade Revival Project, good will be increased back to great and perfect.
The movies are better now!
@ Adam Berlin: Amen! Television, Movies, Music, Cartoons… literally anything. Ok the there was the cold-war threat but that's nothing compared to the threat of culture marxism and SJWs running wild today and destroying what's left of mankind today.
The presenter himself should be given an award!
Michael winslow . The guy from police acadamy . If you dont know him 😇
@@johnny9000 He's not the presenter.. pretty sure he means Alan Alda
TrevSkee Cannon also an actor if I’m not wrong
He was in Cheech and Chong 2 also
Michael Winslow is a legend that doesn't get enough recognition.
Back when the Oscars were not only entertaining, but magical.
Totally! Where did the magic go? I think part of the reason is that there's no real talented stars anymore, at least not as many as there used to be. Quality of films has declined in many ways. Plus that ultra PC woke culture BS constantly being shoved in your face has put a lot of people off. How do you go for an audience of a billion to 10 million? Something has definitely gone wrong!
Back To The Future main theme and Michael Winslow... now my ife is complete.
And being introduced by Alan Alda.
And Statler and Waldorf in the audience heckling! How perfect was this!
Give Michael Winslow an Oscar!
Oscar? maybe a $1 .... wonder if he can do my windshield, I got some spare change.
Seriously Michael Winslow was the perfect presenter for the Sound FX Editing Oscar :D And wow, even Alan Alda was a Oscar host in 1986? Back then this award show was actually worth watching.
Yeah. I was wondering what MASH member is doing here :D
Unfortunately the mic wasn't up to par with the one he uses for his effects.
"MAKE AMERICA THE 80'S AGAIN"
All the world please 😁
America rejects social progressivism therefore lives in the eighties... the seventeen eighties.
To make that possible you will have to bring from the death those people from 80's that are not with us anymore.
@@musicaltheatergeek79 Recession? they happen regularly. Maybe 2008 qualifies as the start of one.
musicaltheatergeek79 Man, the economy in the 80s was great, compared to the 70s. Even you said it. It BEGAN with a recession because Reagan ended it. And the crash 10 years later was something we recovered from without too many scrapes. But the 80s themselves were financially better than we had seen in a long time.
Christopher Lloyd should've gotten a best supporting actor nomination for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown. He absolutely killed that role!!!!!
And not forgetting Thomas F Wilson for his part for back to the future 2
Great Scott!
Both Chris Lloyd and Thomas F. Wilson deserved it.
He should have the main actor nomination, respect for Michael , but Lloyd should have more famous about this immense movie
Agree in gender, number and degree.
God I miss the 80's
It's the first decade to be brought back in the Retro Decade Revival Project. It's open for everybody and it's free.
Likewise......
I was about to write this
"MAKE AMERICA THE 80'S AGAIN"
I'm sorry man
That guy, was the only one who appeared in all Police Academy movies and the TV-series... He should have presented the sound effects award every year.
Incorrect. David Graf (Tackleberry) and George Gaynes (Lassard) also appeared in all the films and TV series.
I first saw Michael Winslow when I was a kid in 1984 when I watched the first Police Academy movie, and here he is 35 years ago on the Oscars, and I just saw him tonight in July 2021 on America's got talent and he sounds better than ever. So glad he is still performing so a new generation just got introduced to him tonight. Age is nothing but a number as long as you keep yourself active and busy doing something you love.
I loved this man he was so talented and under used in movies
It's that time of year again for the Annual Oscars and I just love how Michael Winslow presents the winner for Sound Editing since really he is a human sound FX box.
Back to the Future... One of the GREATEST movie ever made!
"And for all of you out there who harbor such dreams as I, may your time come too." What a beautiful thing to say, like a blessing on the viewers 🤗💜
Good old times... will never come back again!! ☹️
Your right!!!!!
@@richardlopezno6274 You're right not your right
apparently today are better times but guess what you aint in it
Good prevails.
nice to see that in 1986 we had a lady with 48 years dedicated to sound editing. wish I met her. congrats everyone!
Michael Winslow came back into the spotlight recently when he appeared on America's Got Talent........at age 63. I don't know about you, but I've never forgotten about that great guy who says that "he makes noises.......".
Oscar's are not like this one it's to plain..back then people did all the work to make it perfect.
How could they have conceived such an incredible movie ?? man, this is a perfect movie ! :-)
And he got one of the loveliest smile🙂
Time when Oscars really mattered
Still one of the greatest movies ever made (IMHO).
It was flawless
Not one of them, just best movie ever .
@@LEMON48 You'll get little argument from me, although Raiders of the Lost Ark is up there too for me...
I agree
@@claudineilima8357 And extremely re-watchable. I've seen it dozens of times and still enjoy it every time.
Best presentation of an award. Wow
Alan Alda and Michael Winslow are two of my favorites. This was back when the awards were actually about... wait for it... AWARDS! I never watch anymore because I don't want to hear their bias, hatred, and intolerance for people who think differently than they do.
I totally agree 100%, the awards shows now are just garbage and all about how Hollywood hates Trump, it's just disgraceful. I wish we could have Michael Winslow just do the entire show making all his sound effects and noises, that would be REAL entertainment.
Politics has no place in entertainment, (unless it's being spoofed).
That turned me off from awards shows. Even some movies I can't watch if there is an actor in it who has tried to shove politics down my throat.
@@dannygjk Yea like a reality show star...that's gotta be even worse!
RIP Charles L. Campbell (August 17, 1930 - June 21, 2013), aged 82
And
RIP Robert Rutledge (June 3, 1948 - October 15, 2001), aged 53
You both will be remembered as legends.
Sad that both these talented men are no longer with us. The younger of the two, Robert Rutledge died in 2001 of a heart attack, and Charles L. Campbell died in 2013. Campbell also won oscars for best sound editing for E.T the Extra Terrestrial and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Rutledge also worked with Ben Burtt on Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.
oh man I didn't know, you sure miss great talent like this
Michael Winslow went on to do some sound effects for Back to the Future 3.
Like which?
@@pferreira1983 he did the sounds for the moonwalk, including the Michael Jackson impression
@@Whoknowsuknow Wow, I thought that was Michael J. Fox! Interesting trivia, thanks!
I love the Michael Winslow videos I see on UA-cam!
Back when movies were movies...I wish I could go back in time to see this live.
Her back Marty...
Died at Rambo's impression 😂😂😂😂
Michael Winslow and Alan Alda in one video? And an Oscar for Back To The Future?
Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.....
Back to the Future has great sound editing.
micheal winslow have extralarge with bud spencer and police academy and otther movies now as 60 age as really rumours as back to the future as first episodi sorry as the 4 episode 2018 now police academy remake not really lassard and other actor
Yeh they won an Oscar for it
@@SuperDougie89 we all know that. the funnier version would be " yeah they should get an oscar for that "
@@GanjalfderGruene no
@@SuperDougie89 technicaly yes because your comment was no joke
Did I just see a moment of the Oscars when actors didn't use that platform to force feed their political opinions down our throats?
Yes. Yes you did
When this originally aired, the Left Wing Hollywood Loons were still in Pre-School. Maybe it's the Teachers' fault they are so crazy today????
@@sol-dominguez force feed their political stance? You mean like 20 years ago when they constantly pushed the support our troops narrative on an illegal war Led by the republicans? The only reason your saying that is cos theres hardly any right wing celebrities. I'm sure if they were you wouldn't think it was too political. Way to project your insecurities onto the other side dude lol
@@s.e.wagger3888 left hollywood loons? Lmfao. YOU FREAKS ARE THE MINORITY AND SOONER OR LATER EVEEYONE WILL CATCH ON TO THIS FACT AND WE WILL FINALLY GET RID OF YOU. Lmfao, im still laughing at how you freaks in the right constantly project your faults and insecurities onto the left 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This guy is a legend!
Wow! They didn't show clips for each nominee back then? Also, the acceptance speech by the first guy, though short, is classy and even inspiring.
Jack Nicholson at the end there just sat there looking cool as fuck! Lol
Michael Winslow is awesome. Just saw his stand up performance in Finland a few months ago.
Really? That is awesome to know he is doing well and still touring, makes me very happy. He is so goddamn funny, just an American treasure and original, nobody like him.
Alvalanker EX his tour was awesome. I was laughing the whole few hours he was on stage.
I'm really happy that opportunity presented itself to give me a chance to see his jokes once live.
He has a youtube channel and sometimes he'll stream live.
Oscar related to sound and the guy in charge of turning up the muppets volume drops the ball
ajrobson yes, so absurd that I thought it was part of the joke
The greatest motion picture ever made ever

@Preston Swooper You are right, most people do not do any research on the information that I have provided. So I don't expect much from them.
For the people who are open minded it all comes down to the odds of the occurrences happening. Math and odds don't lie.
Bill and Ted's last names are Preston and Logan which are the two most populated cities in Cache Valley. Like I said, plenty more information...
2018 and watching

For a second, I thought I saw a young Chris Rock
Too young... at that time he was in Corleone High School
Great... Unique Michael Winslow.
What legends in the audience - Jack Nicholson, Ernest Borgnine, Tom Selleck ...
The music playing in the background is just breathtaking
WOW!!!, not offensive, no liberal political BS, no foul language, just what it should be.....entertainment.
exactly, I hope we can return to this sometime soon!
@@alvalankerofficial We will. I'm planning to put together a Retro Decade Revival Project. Our goal is to bring pure originality and diversity, old school, real entertainment, true talent and more back into the public mainstream, starting with the 1980s. With the Retro Decade Revival Project, it will never be offensive, liberal political BS will never exist and foul language will never be used. It will be the way it should be, entertainment.
We found our snowflake!
When we use to have great artists that care to entertain the audience
holy shit Alan alda and Michael winslow look so young ..... woaw
Back to the future was the best movie of 1985
Back to the future score is kind of emotional for me
I was obsessed with the film when it came out .. saw at the picture 15 times
My favorite film of all time. So glad to see that it won something that night. Really wish it won for original screenplay too.
Dual Screen Not only that, but Robert Zemeckis should have won Best Director and the movie itself should have won Best Picture! I’m still fucking pissed Out of Africa won let alone got nominated.
out of africa? never even heard of that movie
Oscars? Where we're going, we don't need Oscars!
Yeah I wish that it won Original Screenplay too and don't forget Original Song

Michael Winslow is THE BEST EVER (*_*) Thanks for all the laughs and God Bless you
I miss the 80s, People knew how to have Fun and Joke around.
Michael Winslow is a sound effects mouth wiz! Boom!
The best movie ever receiving the best sounds effect Oscar, ridiculous.
Best Sound Effects Ever.
So unbelievably Talented! I heard he did sounds for "Gremlins". Pretty cool!
0:45 when Muppets curses
Michael Winslow should have been awarded an Oscar for best special effect
Back to the future is the history movie produced in all times
We knew how to have fun back in the 80s
Here we are, 33 years later, and still transported back to those days. Who says time travel isn't real?
2015 brought me here and Alan Silvestri's score also brought me here.
Michael Winslow should always be the Oscar Awards host. He is the perfect artist to do it. Hollywood should give him this job permanently.
De Volta Para o Futuro marcou minha infância, de fato uma identificação incrível que temos com o filme é a trilha fabulosa, mereceu demais o prêmio de melhor trilha!
Very nice thank you speeches!!!!!😎

Wow how times have changed.
The good ol days, i would give anything for the 70's/80's back
It's disturbingly surreal, to look back on all these old Oscars and other awards shows, and as they show the celebs in the audience, you think now in current year....
"How many of them were already torturing and murdering children and consuming them, and no one was the wiser?"
Whoa! That zoom during the walk..
They can't show clips from the film?
You'd think the studios would give the Academy the permission to do so on a little UA-cam video.
That because the copyright of films is illegal.
I watched Michael Winslow and Wes Harrison do sound effects together and it was a blast.
R. Ruthledge has such a great voice!!
He could narrate any cartoon- or scientific film!!
When Hollywood was non woke, and you actually could get excited about new movies !
What times !
Mr. Winslow made my childhood
Back when everything was good
It should have won Original Screenplay as well.
I agree wholeheartedly
Happy 2018! 🙌💕

Well,,I can't know whether what you're saying is true or not but if you were indeed the ghost writer, then i certainly hope you were rewarded for it financially....I think B2TF is a movie that should have been left alone after it was made and no sequel should have been done...Sequels are very rarely better.
@@7Earthsky Sequels are usually thought up during the writing process for the first movie. They are the leftovers... That is not always the case however.
Familiarity breeds contempt so sequels will always be looked down on. Even I get sick of certain projects before they are finished.
I would not have been a writer for so long if I wasn't a ghostwriter. As people would be sick of me and my work.
I was working on a screenplay for Groot around the time I was writing BTTF. If you zoom in on the head of the little statue in Marty's house...it will look similar to Groot's head. Also a hidden joke in there, somewhere.
Ultimately I discarded the Goot screenplay as it could not be made correctly at the time. No CGI looked decent at the time.
I have written many movies and TV shows over the years. In the certain TV shows actors and actresses will mention other TV shows and characters for no apparent reason. Usually in a lame joke that could have been done without. Just me saying Hello People Wake Up!😃
Seinfeld is an example of a show mentioning other shows. Most people just think pop culture references and move on.
If I do get paid, it is supposed to be when I hit 45 years old. I did this to keep my father and narcissistic older brother from getting all my money. As I was underage at the time of writing BTTF, my parents would have kept and spent all of the money anyways. The other reasons for waiting outweighed the reasons for getting paid right away.
So no I have not been paid a dime...yet...if ever...who knows if Hollywood will pay when the time comes.
Watch the movie Maximum Overdrive it says "eat my shorts" and the actress does the voice for Lisa Simpson. The movie is older than the Simpsons.
I don't write entertainment anymore...not that it matters!
Wasted to much of your time already...later.
Good times 😢
Love the 80's and 90's comedy movies
Back to the future, police academy, indiana jones,.... how i miss this movies
Best of both worlds as a BTTF and Winslow fan!!
