I like the idea that on the River of Styx, Charon just gets fed up and sick of using his tiny old boat to ferry the influx of sinners caused by the Great War till he eventually decides to ask King Minos to install a highway that connects to all the layers of Hell, and also to give him some of Lust's most advanced and high-tech modes of transportation only to give him a crappy bus--'least it is better than a millenia old tiny boat, though.
My favorite detail of this map is that the passengers will change positions with every layer; Gabriel goes thru various awkard fidgety poses, Swordsmachine carves more of their cool S into the seat, etc.
