I just had to replace mine, you can take the cylinder to a locksmith and they can rekey it to match your car keys. It cost me around 50 bucks, which is a third of what the dealer quoted

thanks for the video BUT do I need to remove the entire inside driver's door panel to change the handle (lock is good) on a Kia Niro?

If they didn't break the lock, just the handle off, can I leave the lock part in and just put a new handle on?
