Thank goodness it wasn't as destructive as initially thought. Better to be prepared though.
Prayers for quick recovery 💞
it seems weird that the state would allow mobile home communities to be built in an area prone to hurricanes
the mobile homes were destroyed by tornados, which happen in many places where mobile homes are used (including entire communities of them), not only Florida or other hurricane prone areas
The state has new codes enforced for all new buildings/homes and renovations of existing homes which exceed specified parameters (expenditures) in which they have to be built to match new codes designed to better withstand some of the hazards of sea level rise and intensifying storms. The trouble with the latter is that it creates more problems for long time residents than it solves, as it plays out in real situations.
I seems ridiculous
It’s Florida. It’s overpopulated. A lot of people know there is always extreme weather in that state, but still they persist in short-sighted thinking, choosing to rebuild. Kinda like when you destroy an ant colony, they are back within a day or two.
Isn't that the point with mobile homes: that they're mobile? I mean theoretically they could be moved away.
Many people depend on them for shelter. How else are they going to live?
Can't wait for the trump trolls to make this about immigration 😂
These hurricanes, coming from who knows where, are crossing the border to steal your job. 🍊
The world's still waiting for you to grow up and work out how to use your brain effectively ✌️
🤣☺
They sent the hurricane from Mexico!
@@alanakafang6143 Awe... Him mad!
Prayers 🙏 for those affected by the calamity.
Paradise??? Every year you get to fill and stack sand bags fight insurance companies, clean up all the garbage, rebuild, Sometimes it takes years. I think plowing snow is much easier.
I don't like either. Love from Dixie.
There is always hope for people in the Tampa Bay Area and Central Florida who are in a recovery mode after that doom and gloom of Hurricane Milton. Thank God that killer of a storm did not hit Miami, but I feel bad for those in the Tampa Bay Area and Central Florida who are dealing with the devastating damage of the hurricane.
Weird to call them customers, makes it sound like power is not a necessity
People are customers we are the land of consumers get use it
Don't they have to pay for it? They're customers then!
It's just the corporate overlords letting the mask slip a little. You're not humans, you're economic units.
Lots of people live without it. Until a hundred years ago everyone lived without it. It's awfully convient, but it's not a necessity.
Hopefully they're more worried about food and water to vote
I wanted to move to Florida years ago i am gladder than a Kindergarteners snack pack i didn't! How do you like what i thought up?
This is either artificial intelligence failing at making a joke or this is a boomer
@@ja-mez5102kind of a weird flex at a time like this right...something only a bot would say? 😅
Smart Florida is a crap hole run by a maniac
So glad we left Tampa 30+ years ago! Got my fill of that crap.
Come on ron, lets get going? Whats the republican going on? Ron, you're failing .

We are people before customers, what a dumb headline
Not to the corporate overlords, you aren't.
@@MadCatLady28 okay user
As a dem, I’m happy fema funds were diverted to noncitizens rather than these citizens suffering from natural disasters.
Troll
I agree because our citizens most likely have jobs and can easily rebuild. The illegals don't so they need the money more.
I was about to be mad, but you’re trolling.
There's a time and a place for childish comments. This is neither the time or place.
Still posting, huh, ditztwitsi. Troll
Thank god it did not become a category 5 storm as predicted!
It did. At least twice. But it was predicted to bet a Cat 3 when it made landfall, which is exactly what happened.
Its fine. The media over hyped it. -idiots
Says the man in Nebraska
People died and many other lost their homes, and there are billions of damage. How is that 'fine'?
@@Achdujeh its not fine but idiots are saying its fine
@@adamsteele6148 got it. the irony was not obvious.
Can you just give us a bullet point list of how this hurricane is directly Trump's fault?
The hurricane itself isn't but he's lying a lot about it and making things worse.
Well, first he exterminated the dinosaurs, and then they turned into oil.
And 65 million years later my A/C bill is skyrocketing thanks to OrangeManBad
Why would you think the hurricane is trumps fault? His lies and disinformation are making a horrible situation worse for many tormented people.

Tired drivel. Wasting your server power really.
Anyone with even a small amount of intelligence would know that they can't send people in until the area is declared safe to do so. All you're doing is proving that you don't have the necessary capability for that.
"Dear American People,
Who needs food, shelter, and clothing when you've got Joy, Hope, and Good VIbes?

Just go away- trumpy pooper- shoo-shoo
No wonder we mock you.
What you certainly don’t need is a liar spouting disinformation when you’re already at your wits end
